Based on preliminary research, Cedars of Lebanon, which was established in 1974, is the only restaurant still open from when I went to school at UW in the mid-1980s. The owner is the sweetest! This spot is such a gem — warm, homey, and so welcoming. Every meat dish was juicy and grilled to perfection. Don’t miss this stop while you’re in U Village (and definitely ask for the green hot sauce!)
The food was delicious! This family business is so welcoming and provided a lovely atmosphere for dinner. The food was wonderful, from the falafel plate, hummus, and the baklava. John the owner has so many wonderful stories. Must visit!!
