If you could create a movie theater for your friends and family, this is exactly how you'd do it. Nicely laid out seating, great food and drink options, and just an excellent neighborhood vibe.
My favorite place ever! Amazing food and ambiance, and they always play really fun movies. I feel so at home here, it’s such a special community spot.
Are you guys closing the door permanently
Today was my first time here and I had a great time! The ordering system for food was seamless, just snap a pic of the QR code and you're off for trying out some absolutely delicious food! I had one of the best mushroom burgers I've ever tasted, and the sweet potato fries with bacon and a nice horseradish sauce were pretty good too. The sound was perfectly balanced, loud enough but definitely not overwhelming. The staff were probably the best part, friendly and quick to help out. My only regret was that the screen size seemed a little on the small side.
Thanks Central Cinema team, you were awesome!
Classic movies, fun events, and good food!
Love theaters that show cult classics and serve beer. The crowd can be great as well. Plus movie cat trivia is awesome.
This place is a blast. Small theater, friendly staff, fun seating, and service right at your seat. If you get the opportunity, watch a Hecklevision showing. You get narrate and roast the film with the audience. Go support and have a good time!
Solid fries and drinks, great cinema, love an intermission. Plus they have that cool fancy air cleaner.
I’ve always(!) loved Central Cinema—it’s been one of my favorite spots for a long time. The staff are consistently warm and welcoming, and that was true again during our visit last Thursday night. Unfortunately, what happened during the event made it evident that this space isn’t safe or meant for everyone.
At one point, the host mocked the idea of 'a twelve-year-old… in *Mexico?!' with laughter, as if Mexico were some bizarre or unimaginable place for a child. As if the audience didn’t include Mexican people (spoiler: it did). As if family separation, displacement, and targeted violence weren’t sweeping this country right now. Many of us can’t afford to “leave it all out there,” as he suggested. A member of our party attempted to explain it to him, but it was ineffectual.
Adding to the discomfort, were some of the videos. One featured Beyoncé with notably darkened skin. I’m Black. Colorism is real. And light- or medium-skinned folks—myself included—need to understand that dark skin is not a costume. Another video was centered on a white heroine physically pushing aside people of color.
At that point, we left. The opportunity to go out and celebrate pride turned into a reminder of our 'otherness'.
Let’s not forget who was on the front lines at Stonewall, and who’s on the front lines now. Those of us being actively targeted for our skin color deserve joyful, caring, safe queer spaces too. We actually really need those spaces desperately.
I hope my fun times there aren't a thing of the past. This is a tough review to have to write.
Great atmosphere and surprisingly excellent Pizza. This place is a gem

The bathrooms could be cleaner, the seats were comfortable and the servers were friendly and attentive. Food was overpriced and kind of bland, I’d return though depending on the movie.
great place to stop for a niche movie, really like the concept of a local dine in theater, but parking is a nightmare unless you get lucky on a street nearby and the food prices are just about what you’d expect for movie theater
This one-screen neighborhood theater is a true hidden gem. It has that old-school, retro charm that instantly transports you - warm lighting, nostalgic decor, and a thoughtfully curated selection of classic and unconventional films you won’t find in most big theaters.
The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for anyone who loves the experience of watching a film in a space that feels intimate and authentic. It’s also a dine-in theater with genuinely great food, which makes the whole experience even better.
The staff is kind, the vibe is relaxed, and the movie selection leans into the unique and offbeat - a refreshing break from the overly commercialized movie scene. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to again and again, and one you’ll probably end up recommending to everyone you know.
Food. Drinks. Films. Reasonably comfy seats. What more can you ask for from a cute neighborhood theater?
A little gem in the neighborhood, the while place has a happy vibe and fun for the family
