Almost $18 (not including tip) for smallest drink and a medium sub. Not worth it, find some place cheaper. Why would I not just go to '5 guys' next time?

The screen for checkout only have the option to tip 18%+ plus, and this is for a counter-serve sandwich...
Also, the sandwich took 15+ mins...

Awesome subs, love the theme. Busy at lunch, took a few minutes to get my sandwich. Best subs on the Ave.

I visited on 8/31/2024 and it was my first time there. I did look at their website ahead of time to see what they had to offer in terms of food and drink and was not disappointed. The young woman at the counter who greeted me (Did not get her name) and took my order was very helpful. I ordered a sweet tea and asked if there were any lemon slices to add to the drink. She was nice enough to grab a fresh lemon, cut it up and give me a slice. Who does that nowadays? I thought that was so cool of her to do. I ordered the pretzel nuggets which were AMAZING!!! I also ordered the Thai Stick Teriyaki chicken sandwich which was really good as well. I like the vibes of the place as well. This place has a bar inside and while I did not have an alcoholic drink this time, I will be adventurous on my next trip there. Will definitely visit again when I next visit Seattle.

I love Cheba Hut! First discovered them in Denver CO and was very pleased to see them out west. Amazing theme and the sandwiches are always delicious. I always order in advance and drive to pick up 15 minutes later, and only once did I have to wait an extra 5 minutes. Service has been great to me (though given the theme, don't be surprised if they sometimes seem a little "spacey" lol).

Restaurantji Recommends
Okay the sandwiches hit just right BUT the people are the best part. SO NICE. I just had the best experience there - and, well, I do everytime. I also like that there is a bar, which I sometimes visit prior to going to the Varsity or Grand Illusion to watch a movie. I highly (heh, heh get it?) recommend Cheba Hut.

Got food poisoning from the chicken panama
Ordered the Midwest club sandwich on garlic bread. Was the best sandwich I’ve ever had. Life changing.
Everything was good except the restroom door doesn’t lock properly. Even if you push the button on the inside that says “lock door” people on the outside can still enter using the code. If the business owners can address this because I had someone enter while I was using the restroom.
