Went for the 90s-2000s DJ night cos I'm old. Good vibe, crowd, and music..and I didn't break a hip. Win win.

Honestly I have loved Chop Suey for as long as I have lived near Seattle. It's been me and my Fiancé's go-to place for drinks and good music. Went last night and honestly I don't know if we'll ever return. She had to use the restroom, turns out there were men crowded in both of the bathrooms. She went in and ran out saying some guy was peeking into her stall, security guys usually are top notch but last night they just sat up front and that was it. She is still messed up about the bathrooms even the next morning. Thanks Chop Suey.

Regularly cool place. Great bartenders, great events, great music always. No matter who you are you feel welcome.

The overall experience was super cool, every person I interacted with was incredibly nice (workers, preformers, and everyone else), was worried security wouldn't let me bring in my bag but they did. I saw a review that said there wasn't lids to the toilet tanks 😂 that's still true, but ive seen worse bathrooms. Would recommend and would come back

Security outside was rude for no reason. Lose the attitude.

Enjoyed my first visit to this bar for the Disorder 80's night. Great venue, lovely staff and bouncers. Music was really fun. A few concerns I had though. I was under the impression (based on the advertising) that it was going to be really awesome dark wave and goth. The DJ was good but I think he was too young to really know what dark wave actually is. He didn't even play any of the standards like Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, Clan of Xymox, Nina Hagen, Gary Numan, etc. Some really deep B sides would have been great as well. Hopefully in the future the DJ can brainstorm with someone from that generation to really learn what Goth and dark wave are. It would also be cool if the bar would play some videos of the songs like the clubs did in the actual 80's. Only one video was playing in loop of 80's club kids dancing. Looking forward to come back for another visit when I'm in Seattle.
