LMAO
Coastal Kitchen is a masterclass on how to run a restaurant into the ground.
Big Shout out to Robyn, Stephanie Anderson, Dan and Jonathan Tweten
Horrible business decisions at a habitual level.
Just know the former staff of Coastal Kitchen (back when it had a soul) wants to give you all the biggest, sincerest. "I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!"
We should look forward to the Tweden's closing more restaurants in the Seattle/Tacoma area soon.
Sorry to see this place go!

I loved the vibe - got me really hype for brunch. The food was pretty decent, slightly under salted, the asparagus was not cleaned completely, the toasts tasted like it was seared in the leftover oil from the past 10 meals.
Nothing was bad per se, it just could have been better.

Several months late to review, but I went on a Tuesday for the oysters & rose happy hour, and I was not disappointed. The location is great, the food is stellar, and the service was top notch.

Coastal Kitchen's reboot has been entirely successful. Good happy hour and great dinner and brunch menus. Has a well-stocked and tended bar with good house drinks. A neighborhood gem.

Great atmosphere! I ordered avocado toast and it was really good! I would definitely come back!
Today, I randomly walked in for a to go order and realized it’s not a typical grab-n-go breakfast place. I felt welcomed by the staff and they served me water while waiting for my food. Kudos for not treating me any different for being in comfy clothes. Food was prepared promptly as I observed the chefs. Coming from the industry, I appreciate how my food was being prepared and packaged. The eggs were cooked with a brush of clarified butter instead of drowning in oil/grease, also not overly salty. Veggies are well seared, balance. Everything traveled very well. After sitting for a long while, It caught me by surprise how delicious it tasted. Can’t imagine how delicious it must be when it’s hot. I savor every bite. Bread has great textures. Excited to come back and try more items.

This is one of my favorite happy hour spots (especially on Tuesdays since they have $2.50 Rose and Oysters). This was my second time visiting at ~5:30pm and there was no wait. In the summer, it's a bit busier but I only had to wait 15 minutes. Even if there is a little wait, it's definitely worth it!Rose - The rose is $2.50 all day Tuesdays. It's very light and goes down easy. A bug landed in my glass and the waiter got me a new one.Marinated Olives ($4 during HH) - Nothing special.Fries ($4 during HH) - I love shoestring fries and these were done perfectly with a side of ketchup and garlic aioli.Drunken Brussels ($9 during HH) - The first time it was fantastic but the second time it was extremely sweet. This might not be consistent.Salmon Rillete ($10 during HH) - The salmon portion was generous almost to the point where we didn't have enough chips! I recommend this.
Really shocked with how slow the service was on a Sunday when barely anyone was in there. The waitress seemed uninterested with being there. Super sad that it seems to be slowly going down hill. Food is always

Big fan from way back! Still delicious after all these years! Do wish they'd bring back the corn cakes but I am here for the new seafood focus! Bring on the oysters! Also...if you know you know...I need the language course blasting in the bathroom. Please and forever thank you! Some places are fixtures and Coastal is one of them! ❤️?❤️
