We went for cocktails. Fast and friendly service. Great cocktails. I highly recommend the Expresso martini. Cool vibes and nice atmosphere. Funny coasters. We will be back.

This was horrid. Service was beyond terrible. A mandatory 20% was added to a 2 top and the bill was split. I feel just terrible I suggested we eat here after a long travel time and our luggage getting lost. The reviews are not accurate at all or this was a very bad night for the restaurant. For the cost, service should have been impeccable and food outstanding. Neither happened. Very disappointing. I suggest somewhere else.

Really enjoyed a nice quiet meal. The food was amazing with delicious sauces for both the risotto and the king salmon. Service was impeccable. Never had to pour wine from the bottle we shared, perfectly timed. This is a hidden gem on 1st Ave and Stewart street. And I live just a block away so know all the local restaurants.
The conversation centered on how good this restaurant was. The vibe is moody and chill, and the service is equally so. We went for breakfast, and what a great way to start the day. It's hard to stand out with staples like bagel sandwiches, eggs, waffles, and bacon, but they managed to do it. The single chef working away in the distance knows his craft. Conversation is part of a hotel, but don't let that deter you. The place settings were elegant, the chairs were comfortable, and the location on a busy corner provides for lots of people watching if that's your thing. They have a dining courtyard too. I would go again in a heartbeat; I highly recommend it.

Good food but slower service. Feels like they could use a few more servers. We had a large party, and the food did not come out all at once. One person waited about 10 minutes for food after everyone had been served. There is no kids menu, but they can make some more kid friendly dishes that are off menu. The kids in our group got a burger, chicken strips, and spaghetti with butter. Limited menu for adults, but the food was very good.

Great meal! The hostess was running food and bartending- she was so so sweet attentive even though she was basically running the place. The salad was the highlight for me !

I had the pleasure of dining at Conversations with a couple of friends, and from start to finish, it was an outstanding experience. I arrived fashionably late, but my friends were already enjoying themselves at the bar with the amazing bartender, Oscar, who was crafting delicious, well-balanced cocktails. The drinks made their way to our table seamlessly once we were seated.
Although our table was ready, the staff kindly waited to seat us until our full party had arrived—a small touch that felt genuinely thoughtful. Our server, Tony, escorted us to our table and took the time to confirm which dishes were appetizers and which were entrees, ensuring everything came out just right.
One detail that truly stood out—and is so rare these days—is the pacing of the meal. They actually served the appetizers first and waited until we were completely finished before bringing out our entrées. Seriously—they waited. That kind of attention to the dining experience is what sets a place apart.
Dinner was absolutely delicious, and the drinks kept flowing, each one just as delightful as the last. Everything about this place—from the service to the ambiance to the food—was professional perfection.
Huge thanks to the incredible staff. We’ll definitely be back!

Food is okay. They used to have a great late night deal, $10 for burger, beer, and fries. Then it changed to $10 for burger and beer.. now it's just $10 burger. With a 20% automatic gratuity, it's just not a good deal anymore.
I hate saying this. The food prep and quality was superb. Our waitress was awful. My salmon Bennie arrived joltingly cold for having sat ready on the bar for minutes on end. I thought it might be me though, but we noticed all her tables having the same problem. No coffee refill even with our mugs empty. Waiting for the check… might be here for a few hours… wish we’d gotten a server more worthy of the outstanding food and atmosphere.

We had a leadership dinner in the semi-private space and everything was perfect!

Awful. We had a reservation. Took 10 minutes past that to get seated and another 15 before anyone acknowledged our existence. I think she was a manager, blonde and maybe Russian. Five minutes after that (20 after sitting) another server shows up. She seemed like a real server. She was shocked that someone had taken my order. Keep in mind that at this point we've been seated for 20 minutes and she hasn't even so much as walked through the section. No clue where she was. Food wasn't worth the wait. The Russian came back with the bill and I told her the service was awful. She rattled off and answer without looking at me so I didn't hear most of it. At this point I noticed they'd added a 20% service charge and was fuming mad. I sat for another 15 minutes while both servers wiped tables and ignored me. I had to flag down the brunette and at that point I went ballistic. They took off the 20% and I gave them zero which was more then they deserved. I still had to wait 10 minutes for the bill to come back even after lambasting them.
I realize they were short staffed and maybe someone didn't show up, but as a customer I don't care, and the servers who were there were useless.
Don't ever eat here.

Dropped into Conversation for Easter Brunch. We liked the space and the fact that they weren't doing a special very expensive Easter Brunch menu, just their normal menu. There were plenty of empty tables but we still stood there for 12 minutes waiting to be sat. Once sat, service was barely okay, very slow. Food was good and well priced. They didn't seem very organized or in a hurry to get anything done. Not terrible but not great.
I attended on a slow Sunday. The server was training someone. It was off-putting to have the wine bottle emptied into a glass at my table, especially since the pour seemed small.
My water was never refilled.
The waygu burger was good, but not great and the bun rather bland (maybe toasted slightly would have been better?).
