Dropped into Conversation for Easter Brunch. We liked the space and the fact that they weren't doing a special very expensive Easter Brunch menu, just their normal menu. There were plenty of empty tables but we still stood there for 12 minutes waiting to be sat. Once sat, service was barely okay, very slow. Food was good and well priced. They didn't seem very organized or in a hurry to get anything done. Not terrible but not great.
Nice location but menus and flatware were dirty, chairs and tables wobbly. Service was mid despite being empty. Overpriced for the greasy cafe experience that is trying to be elite. It's a real shame because Chris Ingmire is an amazing chef.
Good food and service. Wagyu burger was really good but the fries resembled McDonald's fries. Bacon was very crunchy. 20% service charge just for having two people was weird but maybe I'm not used to that personally.
Spectacular halibut meal for me and steak and fries for my boyfriend. Warm inviting atmosphere and friendly professional wait staff. Would definitely return. Love that they had several gf options too.
Quite loud, there were 2 very large groups, a lot of clapping. It's a hotel restaurant so probably work orientated. Service was good, food was good and reasonable priced for downtown Seattle. There are specials depending on which night you are there. Our night had certain bottles of wine @ 50% off. Price became $43. I had the crispy chicken sandwich and asked for it to be lettuce wrapped. It came with fries and was delicious.
Was just ok, great food but ok service and felt more like a higher end hotel restaurant than a nice place to go out to.
We were there for brunch and it was excellent. There were lots of choices, very well prepared and reasonably priced. Service was excellent.
We had an amazing experience. Between the incredible staff and food, I would recommend to anyone for a nice date night or dinner with friends!
Big fan of the food and the service. The atmosphere was great. Highly recommend for a romantic dinner for two.
Conversations restaurant needs some help. They have the right idea and could be great, but execution wasn’t there. It was very expensive and not worth the price.
The menu seemed lacking and the wine selection was meh for the kind of restaurant it is. It seemed more of a mediocre hotel restaurant rather than a high end restaurant.
I ordered the Steak Frits and I was told the first steak was burned, so they had to make it again, which was no issue. Although, the next steak came out so raw it was blue inside. Besides that, it was “seasoned” so much it destroyed the flavor of the hangar steak. There was nothing “shoestring” about the fries. I give it 3 stars for the beef tartare appetizer, which was excellent and the highlight of the dinner.
We left without getting dessert, even though we were celebrating a birthday. Overall, it was disappointing after I heard such great things about this restaurant.

I’m currently dining here on 11/7/24 at 8 pm. I missed my server and hostess’ name, but they are incredible. Both so professional and communicative even during an incredibly busy dinner service where they appear to be alone on the floor. Wow! Food is great but even with the two of them alone, service is even better.
Keep these gems!

We came here and enjoyed the grilled oysters and chili butter shrimp. The food decoration here is also very nice. We will come back next time.
