Ordered the mild chicken tenders, they came out fresh, steaming hot, and most importantly, super tender!

The chicken was good, but the fries stole the show. I can’t remember the last time I had French fries that were so perfect. Went for the chicken and now I literally can’t stop thinking about those fries…

This is the best fried chicken in the city no doubt. I grew up in the great state of Kentucky and this place can definitely contend with small town fried chicken.
I recommend the 3 piece tenders at a level 2 spice level, the Mac and cheese and pot o gold.

The go-to spot for chicken sandwiches. Several to choose from and I've never been disappointed.
My only criticism would be that the dining area can get hot in the summer. I think they should probably add a few ceiling fans.

Not too get philosophical, but can chicken be too good even when it's so perfectly balanced as to stray from sheer perfection? Can fries be too golden with a shatteringly crispy exterior and soft interior and the sauces even more flavorful?! Can Laney at the front counter somehow get cooler or make even better suggestions???!?! Chefs are fast and consistent, food is top notch every single time EXCEPT that one time they changed the corn recipe (change it back plsssss 😭), and service and portions and prices are awesome. Off to ponder my next meal since this one is basically a Platonic ideal

I went here because a friend told me he had the best chicken sandwich he’d ever eaten at Cookie’s. After my first visit I’ll now back up his statement. It was fabulous. I just had the classic chicken sandwich with fries and it was huge and awesome! I’ll be going back to try more things on the menu.

Ate here with my folks for the first time tonight. I usually order a 3 ⭐️ spice level in indian, mexican, thai and southern restaurants. I ordered a 2 here to play it safe, and took one bite of my sandwich. I could tell it was very well made, but it was inedibly spicy- my lips were burning and my entire body started sweating, and I felt like I couldn’t breathe. I asked the guy at the register if my sandwich could be remade because I believe they used the wrong spice blend on my food. I explained that it was my first time in, and that i’d had no way to know that their food was so outlandishly spicy. He responded by saying “well we don’t mess around here” and refused. He said I could always purchase another ($13) sandwich at a lower spice level. Luckily my dad offered to buy it for me, but I wouldn’t have been able to do that for myself- eating out is a treat in pricy ballard!!
Food was phenomenal otherwise, especially the fries. But it’ll be a struggle to come back here after such a negative experience at the register.

Adult son ordered slaw sandwich “level 2” heat. Range is 1-4. It was inedible heat. He was showing visible signs of distress from the heat. He took the sandwich up to request a new one with no heat. He was told “we don’t mess around”, and that he could buy a new sandwich. His lips are burned, bright red. His face is red and sweat is coming from pores. We discussed it with the front desk clerk and he said “we dont describe the heat level because we have no way of knowing what an individual can take”. “We dont have a policy of remaking our food for a customer”. Clearly this front desk clerk needs to be trained on how to handle a reaction to a dangerously spicey food item. Food was otherwise tasty. Really unfortunate the company doesn’t care about customers.

Best fries in Seattle and great chicken. The girl working the register was also incredibly nice and clearly very good at her job!
