I am perplexed by all the good reviews for this place. My husband and I went there for the first time around 2:45pm on a Sunday recently and it was not a good experience. We ordered the 3 piece chicken with mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. We got the order to go and they said it would be a 15-20 minute wait, which was fine. We then stood there waiting from about 2:50pm to 4:10pm before our order was ready. That's a full hour longer than their 15-20 minute estimate, for 3 pieces of chicken and 2 sides. For reference, there were only 2 people in line in front of us when we walked in and the restaurant wasn't even close to full. The employees looked incredibly bored and like they couldn't care less about getting people their orders in a timely fashion. As we stood there waiting for our food, the group of people waiting on to go orders was slowly growing as they continued to tell people it would only take about 15-20 mins. An hour and 20 mins after placing the order, our food was given to us with no acknowledgement of the long wait or even a quick "sorry about that". On top of all that the food was only ok and certainly not worth the wait. If you have to go here for some reason, definitely order ahead online otherwise you'll be standing there waiting for your food for over an hour despite them telling you it will only take 15-20 mins.

Pros: Great food, staff are friendly and accommodating. Space is clean. I’ve been many times and will likely be back.

Cons: They are very slow. I’ve never waited less than 20 minutes, even when I order ahead, and it’s typically closer to 30. Not the place to go if you want something quick. Also, they don’t include even one dipping sauce when you get the tenders or the bites.

Alright I have a real bone to pick with Cookie. Your fried chicken is good, sandwiches are great. HOWEVER the sides are incredibly disappointing. The corn is from a can with some cheese sprinkled on top, the Mac and cheese is awfully generic, and judging by the gravy I question Cookie's southern hospitality. All y'all giving 5 stars ain't been to KFC in a while cause Cookie's just upscaling and underperforming mediocre fast food.

Took an hour for a 3 pc and 2 side order. Guess they were raising the chickens too?

The only reason this isn't getting a 5 star is because the mashed potatoes were kinda runny. The rest of the food is amazing (classic chicken club and fries). The portions on the burger and fries are great too. Overall I would recommend this as a first date spot, a family eatery, or even a good solo trip where you could enjoy a meal alone. Very versatile spot and good atmosphere.

Great food. Pretty disappointed they don’t have biscuits or even Hawaiian rolls for all the dipping goodness/sandwich making that could happen. But don’t let that stop you!
I have not eaten inside and doesn’t seem very ā€œcozyā€ so I will continue doing take out which is great! Highly recommend. Staff is always friendly and welcoming, especially when their lobby is full of drivers waiting for orders.

Please get biscuits!!!!!

Perhaps the best friend chicken in Seattle, some of the sides are well below par though

Super good fried chicken and sides. Not a ton of seating , so more of a takeout place.

Went in on a Monday. No wait fast friendly service. Food came out in timely manner. Got the classic and hot honey sandwich with a side of slaw. Everything was the delicious besides the slaw which didn’t taste fresh. Would recommend.

Very clean restaurant serving great quality fried chicken and southern sides. These guys do a great job with a simple but delicious menu. They pay tribute to the KFC bowl, which is one of my favorite menu items in Seattle. Chicken sandwiches are great and they service the right amount of spice in 4-5 levels. I can’t stress the quality of ingredients, great every time.

One of my favorite places in Ballard and a great stop when I’m in the area. Always recommending this place, 10/10

The 5-star is genuinely spicy. It was fantastic. I'm a spice addict (read as: TJs ghost pepper on most meals) and I felt that 4-star spice would probably have been the sweet spot for me, but the 5-star was also enjoyable. I rarely find places that challenge my tolerance, so it was a joy to find this!

I had the poutine, which was very tasty. I do wish the chicken came out a bit crispier.
