We had some Landry's credits that were about to expire, so we decided to give Cutters Crabhouse a try. While waiting at the hostess stand, we were greeted by the bar-area server — he was great. The hostess was also pleasant and personable. Shortly after we were seated, our server came over. He was nice, though quiet and reserved. We started with the Little Gem Wedge Salad. While I prefer a more traditional wedge, the homemade blue cheese dressing was phenomenal. I ordered the Fish and Chips unfortunately, it was a miss. Some of the worst I've ever had. When I broke open the fish, water trickled out, which was a pretty clear indication it wasn't fresh. My first red flag should have been that the menu didn't list the type of fish. The beer batter was overcooked, and the oil tasted old. My dining partner had the Dungeness crab and shrimp fettuccine and said it was great. As we were leaving, the bar-area server thanked us for coming in and asked if we needed parking validated which we appreciated, since our server had forgotten. Parking isn't fully validated, but you do get a 50% off sticker. Overall, Cutters was a one-and-done for us. We both agreed it's not worth a return visit.
Best value I've experienced for a first-class restaurant with views of the waterfront, Sound, and Pike Place Market. You have to order the crab and artichoke dip with extra crab, salmon BLTA sandwich, bowl of clam chowder to share, and finish with the bananas foster cake with cinnamon. Paired with a couple glasses of red wine, and your bill is under $100.00. We gave a $20.00 cash tip for the great service to the waiter. We'll go here again to bring out of town guests. Thanks Cutter Crab house!
The dinner and the service was excellent! We had a window table, making taking in the view of Seattle and Elliot Bay wonderful. Pricing was reasonable considering the venue. Cutters is one of our favorite downtown restaurants!
Food so nice, we had to go there TWICE! We were just in Seattle 24 hours and had to each at Cutters early for happy hour and came back for dinner before they close! We loved the oysters, mussels, King Crab and Old Fashioneds!
In town celebrating a 75th birthday. We had king crab and asparagus from the "For the table" portion of menu. For upscale restaurant I was surprised they didn't offer to split the legs for easier enjoyment and the cracker provided was difficult to use as it didn't open wide enough to circle legs circumference, no drawn butter on warmer either which was disappointing. The service was good however even though the server acknowledged the birthday there was no "celebration" dessert offered. We enjoyed our meals but lacked higher quality we were expecting.
The King Crab was amazing! The views are spectacular. Loved the staff and it's close to Pikes Place Market. We had a great day.
We had the best birthday experience at Cutters! Our server Ethan was super, all the food was excellent, the atmosphere was perfect! Highly, highly recommend Cutters, we will most definitely be back for special occasions and an average night out! The crab, sea bass, brussell sprouts and bananas fosters are must haves, simply delicious!! Thanks so much to Ethan and the entire staff for a truly fabulous dinner and an unforgettable night!
Service was terrible. After ordering a bottle of wine waiter poured a glass for all 7 people at the table without understanding or asking who would be drinking it. I ordered a dirty martini and it was the worst I've had. Restaurant was very slow so ambiance was lacking. I would not recommend.
We were back in town for the marathon last weekend. My husband went to culinary school at the Art Institute of Seattle and we have been back to visit many times. I just wanted to leave a note here about the waiter we had Sunday evening. It was the best service we have had in a long time. Several other restaurants we went to included an 18-20% gratuity to the check, and service reflected that. Cutters doesn’t. Our waiter gave good wine recommendations, was attentive, patient with our kids, and even gave us a small portion of noodles to take home and finish with the sauce that came with the mussels. We tipped accordingly, and really did appriciate the service. It seems to be a lost art. Food was great! Kids loved the mocktails. 2 course meal was delicious. It was a great place for my husband to get his seafood fix. Thank you!
We were so excited to have our Thanksgiving meal here. It was a terrible experience. The chairs were filthy (I was wearing an expensive new dress) and it took 20 minutes after seating just to get a glass of water. Turkey dinner was small, with processed white meat and grisly dark meat. No dinner rolls. No cranberry sauce. Pumpkin pie was just a small slice plopped on a plate. Nothing festive, nothing special. Horrible waste of money. I'm so upset. (I did mention to the waiter that the turkey was like processed lunch meat, and we never got any cranberry sauce (it was included in the turkey dinner description). All he did was say sorry. Nothing was comped. No remorse. Awful. Won't be back.)

The absolute best food experience of our entire trip! Everything we ordered was delicious, but the crab dip is truly phenomenal—it is absolutely to die for.
From the speed of the service to the beautiful ambience and, most importantly, the unforgettable food, every element was perfect. Thank you for making our evening so memorable. We can't wait to return!
