While the food, service & atmosphere was very enjoyable, I do take exception to automatically adding 20% to your dinner bill and that 20% being retained by the restaurant. Tipping servers is in addition to that if you so choose. Pricing on menu is high enough and feel Daniel's could still afford to pay wait staff a decent wage without the add on.
We celebrated our anniversary at Daniels, one of our regular restaurants we go to. We enjoy the deck, overlooking Lake Union, and indulge in steak with all the sides.
The level of service you get at Daniels is always top notch. They have several layers of servers / busers who seamlessly take orders, deliver food and clear dishes. It doesn't feel invasive, but somehow you always get asked whether you'd like a refill at the perfect time and your finished plate / drink disappears. It's clearly a point of emphasis for the management and as a customer you feel appreciated and cared for. Well done.
Our server Jon was amazing. His recommendations were on point and we had a wonderful evening!
We had an incredible dinner. Our waiter Richard was fantastic. He made our experience wonderful. Thank you
The food was good and so was the view. However, I was surprised when I was having a conversation with my husband and laughing, the waiter came up and asked me if he had said something funny. Wierd
Food and service were excellent. Excellent cocktails! We sat outside and enjoyed the wonderful afternoon soft breeze. Very loud table of six so boo for that. Otherwise, other guests kept their chatter to the table. Highly recommend the lobster. Hope to come back to Seattle again and will definitely eat here.
This was a very nice spot. We sat on the deck overlooking the marina. Bring sun glasses if you want to be seated outside. It was beautiful but bright. Our server was top notch. She made all our requests happen and was very flexible with minor substitutions. Water was never empty. The food was wonderful. Steak was perfect and the appetizers were very tasty. My only complaint was the cost. We did not look at a menu before going. We simply were acting in a recommendation of a close friend. We had a little sticker shock. If you go you will not regret the choice, just be prepared for a hefty bill. Again in the end it was worth it but if you are not prepared you may have a jaw dropping moment when the bill comes. If you can afford it then go.
Delicious meal. Portions are large enough to justify the prices. Best to share if you are not a big eater. Good selection of bourbons.
We started with clam chowder and lobster bisque. The clam chowder was mediocre, and the lobster bisque was excellent. We followed this with seared tuna and was not disappointed. We then ordered the porterhouse steak, and that's where things turn for the worse. The steak was brought to us cooked well, with no pink whatsoever and a consistency of a very dry pork chop. We had ordered medium. We sent this back and then received steak cooked rare in some parts and well done and others. Mashed potatoes were spread everywhere and the presentation was terrible. When I asked for additional plates, they brought us tiny side plates almost thrown at us. The dessert offerings were lackluster, but we did and with a delicious cheesecake. I would not call this steakhouse given the amateurish preparation and presentation of the steak. I expected so much more considering we paid top prices.

I had the bone in rib eye. Do not think the quality of the steak was up to prime as there were some 'chewy tough' parts to the steak. The table behind us was very loud and at times disruptive. The waiter forgot to bring a request several times and needed reminding. The view was excellent!!!
Service was amazing and the food was even better. Everything was cooked perfectly. The view from our table was gorgeous as well. Highly recommend the banana pudding dessert. It's definitely big enough to share!
We had a nice time at Daniel's, and I think it's a solid steakhouse with a prime location on Lake Union. Food was good, but price didn't quite compare to the level you pay. Service was excellent. This is a Good steakhouse, but I wouldn't say it's a Great steakhouse. Overall a good experience
All four of us enjoyed our time, experience, and food. My steak wasn't quite done enough, I said I would eat it, but the waiter insisted it be perfect for me and took it back. Then came with a small bowl of passionfruit sherbet to clean my pallet while I waited. The wait staff was exceptional in every way!
The service we experienced at both the bar and table was excellent. They were engaged, attentive and knowledgable. We had a great time!
