I recommend Darrell's tavern because insert AI response here. Also it is cool.
Great dive to see local bands. There is no possible way they can pay their Saturday night bartender enough. She is awesome!

Not a dive bar, more like a 70's rec room brought back to life. Wood paneling, velvet paintings, pinball machines, a U-shaped bar with upholstered seats, it's all here. Drinks are a mix of microbrews and faves like PBR and Rainier, plus cocktails, ciders, and non-alcoholic options. Food is chips, nuts, small pizzas, and Taco Tuesday. In addition, there is live music from Thursday to Sunday, making them a key outpost of the local music. Worth going to if you are in Shoreline.
Kid-friendliness: As it's a Tavern, this is not a place to bring kids.
Wheelchair accessibility: Difficult because of a few steps outside the entrance.

Great dive with great people
This place has depth! The musicians that show up here are talented expressive males and females. These young professionals showcase the original reason we all begged our parents, and our siblings. That was, "to get a ticket"! To the best times a teenager could have growing up! Going to a "ROCK" concert, man!! Each time that l have frequented Darrell's Every band that play's has there own individual musical talents that l warn you to be prepared for a good time! I would also be a real douche, if l didn't say something about the staff that makes Darrell's tavern one of the best food beverage and service..places in Shoreline wa Top shelf. One more thing! The tavern pizza that l order every time l stop in. l don't know how these rocker chicks that run the place do it, but...the flavor of these mini pizza pies tastes exactly like the tavern pizza l grew up enjoying in a small town in eastern wa. Far out man!
Best crowd for an open mic ever and great sound. Beloved place that reminds me of how Seattle kind of was when I moved here. Veey welcoming to a diverse crowd, too.
No pretense place with exceptional bartenders and an owner that cares. I met him drinking a beer on the patio and youd never guess he owns this historic gem of a bar and music venue. Stop by and leave the ba at the door. See a band, this is one of the few places you can see legit local, real Seattle music anymore.

Darrel’s Tavern is the only bar I ever go to regularly, and I go even when I’m not drinking
a very human place :-)
