The BBQ short rib sando was great, and I understand that $18 is a “normal” price for a sando these days, but a side of plain tortilla chips with no salsa or other options?! Really?! Owner: Do you ever eat a side of plain tortilla chips?!? Didn’t think so. Add a salsa option or even *plain potato chips* would be a much tastier option! Fix this and I’ll give 5 stars!

Flatbtread was well prepared and served hot. The Banh Mi was served on a cold, untoasted bun. It was unappealing.

My poke bowl was very sad. The fish wasn’t too fresh but was edible. In addition to the fish this poke bowl contained a few sad strings of cucumber, some edamame, and a garnish of seaweed. The worst of it was a part I didn’t even know it was possible to mess up—the rice. It was half-cooked, cold, and crunchy. Even beginning cooks usually manage at least to cook rice, don’t they?!
Davids & Co to the rescue!
Really great chicken Caesar (that chicken was delectable, the croutons delicious!) before the symphony last night. Hustle-bustle atmosphere which was wonderful because everyone was in a great mood before Beethoven’s 7th! Friendly and helpful people, and we couldn’t be happier with bailing on Wild Ginger (they were having an “off” night, with uncharacteristic poor customer service). We will be back! I want to try those chips!
I ordered the quinoa bowl, water and a glass of wine in a to go cup to take into the Symphony Hall. I was focused on the meal choices, didn’t pay attention to the drink prices. That was my mistake. The person taking my order said you know a double glass of wine will fit in that cup. I said, ok without looking at the price. $32.00 for a glass of wine. Most expensive drink I’ve ever purchased. The meal was ok. The greens were fresh but the vegetables were bland.

The best macaroon and chocolate chip cookie! I was so close to asking if I could buy out the tray after the show but chickened out, it made me sad to see those beautiful macaroons left over!

A sign on the back wall says Warning, You Are About to Eat the Best BBQ, or something to that effect. What a crock. We had the dirty rice, topped with pulled pork and coleslaw on the side. The pulled pork was burned and dry and totally devoid of any BBQ sauce and the Ph of the coleslaw dressing low enough to remove the enamel from your teeth. The dirty rice was neither bad, nor good. Just unremarkable. Bottom line: plan on eating elsewhere before a concert ar Beneroya.
Friendly service, not busy during lunch hours, great food.
After reading some of the reviews, we figured our meal there would be filling, but not very good. Because of the convenience of eating there before a Beneroyal performance, we decided to eat there anyway. My husband thought his black bean chili (with added pork) very good. I had a good caramelized onion and mushroom quiche. Both were accompanied by a mixed green salad lightly dressed.
The vegetarian "meatloaf" was barely warm, gummy, and tasted terrible -- among the worst vegetarian dishes my wife has tried. My sliders were ok but also barely warm. Side veggies very tired looking and, again, barely warm.
I work here come join us.
