Delfino's Chicago Style Pizza

I took home a frozen pepperoni deep dish and cooked it from frozen. Happy to say it came out great. I will thaw it before cooking next time to see if there is a discernible difference. Importantly, the crust was cuttable with a fork only - sturdy, but flaky. Mozzarella cheese oozed out with the anticipated stringiness pull. The crust/sauce/cheese/topping ratio was perfectly balanced. A real pleasure. Reheated leftovers in the oven came out as good as the original cook (oven; never microwave!). I give this pizza a solid 4.75/5 - a strong rating in my book and bettered only by stalwarts like the old Northlake ‘Logger,’ Cornelly’s, Stevie’s, Big Mario’s). Try West of Chicago (in West Seattle) for another great deep dish. . I will definitely buy again and highly recommend this pizza. One pizza feeds four.

Meatball sandwich also rated a strong 4/5 for overall tastiness. Served on a mini baguette type bread. I will personally pass on the thin crust pizza next time I visit as the crust was a bit too ‘cracker y’ and I prefer chewy.

Working crew were pleasant and dedicated.

Parking: University Village plentiful, but can get busy.

Classic deep dish pie and a very tasty Italian Beef sandwhich.

Pizza takes 30-40 minutes to cook, so it isn't a fast in-and-out place, but worth the wait.

I really liked the stuffed pizza. I would like to see it have a little more filling, a slightly thinner bottom layer, and a slightly thicker top layer, but it was still really good. There aren't many places that make it around here.

I mean… the stuffed cheese pizza is one of the best pizzas I’ve had in our state. When you pull up a slice there’s so much cheese coming with it. And the red sauce is so zesty! I was a little bit nervous at how much the pizza might cost and honestly it’s totally fair pricing. Worth every dollar, worth dealing with that parking lot, worth it in every way. Brought a friend from Chicago who was missing home and they loved it so that’s all I needed to know.

Delfino’s Chicago Style Pizza isn’t just good—it’s spectacular! Their traditional Chicago-style stuffed pizza is out-of-this-world fantastic. They’ve sourced the best of everything—sauce, cheese, toppings—and packed it into an incredible 2-inch-thick stuffed pizza that’s nothing short of perfection.

My wife and kids absolutely adore this place, and so does everyone I’ve ever taken here. We even order it for my workplace at least once a month, and guess what? EVERYONE LOVES IT!

I have friends from the Chicago area who are fanatical about this place, and there’s a reason why. This is authentic Chicago-style pizza that nails it every. single. time.

Now, be prepared to wait—the stuffed pizza takes at least 45 minutes to cook due to its thickness, but trust me, it’s worth every second.

Have I tried the other styles of pizza? Absolutely not! Why would I? This is why you come here! Don’t even think about ordering anything else—you’d be doing this masterpiece a disservice.

The only downside? Delfino’s occupies a relatively small space. While the location itself is great, there isn’t always enough seating, and the place can get a bit messy since there’s no traditional waitstaff or busboys. It’s more of a carry-out place with a few tables as an afterthought. If they expanded and added more seating with dedicated staff, they’d have a money-making machine on their hands.

In short, try the STUFFED PIZZA! I swear, any bad reviews are from people who didn’t know what to order. They probably went with a lesser item—total user error!

While waiting for my pizza, I’ve tried the Italian Meatballs, Pizza Bread, and Garlic Bread appetizers—all very good and perfect to tide you over during the wait.

Delfino's is bar far the best deep dish pizza I have had anywhere in the Seattle area. Make sure to try the deep dish and get extra because it makes some of the best leftovers cold pizza too :

I wanted to eat Chicago pizza, so I stopped by this restaurant when I visited University Village. I visited at 1pm on a Friday, and after a short wait I was shown a seat, and it took a considerable amount of time to receive my food after ordering. I had the Chicago House small deep dish pizza, and it had a lot of jalapenos in it, so it was a little less greasy. It was salty but delicious. Order a Coke rather than a Sprite, the Sprite tasted like tap water to me. The staff's service was just so-so.

Ordered Italian beef, dine in. The waitress did not even gave water to me until I asked. Service is bad. It seems they didn’t expect any tip from me. I used to live in Chicago, I must say the Italian beef tastes very boring.

Their pizzas are sooo delicious! The Firehouse Deep Dish is my favorite. The Stuffed Mushrooms with Sausage is also heavenly. They prepare it fresh, and it comes out hot. This takes time, though, so prepare to wait for about 30 min if you dine in.

Don't bother scheduling this place for an event if you need a place that doesn't cancel literally last minute.

The truck never showed up for the event. Apparently they decided to cancel at the same time our event started today. This left the event planner scrambling. Good to know this business is NOT reliable. DO NOT HIRE THEM FOR YOUR EVENT UNLESS YOU WANT A NO SHOW. ?
