love this boba place! owner is super nice and the drinks are always great. Highly recommend it ;)
The guy who usually works here is so lovely and makes the best drinks!!! Fav boba spot :P
I used to go to ding tea pretty regularly in socal and was super happy to see it here! Tea is delicious and staff is very friendly.
Zero stars. My friends and I went into Ding Tea this afternoon. We were having a conversation about 10 mins until the owner in an insulting and very rude tone demanded for us to order or leave the store. Out of nowhere, we were flabbergasted! We explained that we never go to an establishment and never pay. We are not that kind of customers. We also said we have come here before. I'm also a generous tipper and tip at least 25%. He just treated us like criminals! I asked him where is the sign where customers can't have a 10 min conversation before placing an order. He just said we have a right to refuse service to anyone. So I said to him you're refusing paying customers because my friends and I had a 10 min conversation before placing an order and he said I'm a store owner and could do whatever I want. So I said ok, noted! We are never coming back ever!!!!

I rather give this place a ZERO STAR -
Here is what happened today - My friends and I have been coming to Ding Tea on the Ave for years as our go-to spot to relax after lunch. Today, though, was a complete letdown. We were casually browsing the menu and chatting when the owner, Kang Han ( I don't know the exact spelling but he is indeed the owner of Ding Tea on on the Ave), came over and demanded we order immediately or leave. His tone was rude and condescending, and the whole interaction felt aggressive and completely uncalled for. Believe me, I had been going to the Ave for over 20+ years. I went to school (UW) here and never been treated ever by any business like this on the AVE.
We told him we were regulars—one of us has even tipped 25% in the past—but he scoffed and said he’s always at the store and doesn’t recognize us. Then, in a passive-aggressive move, he pointed at a sign saying “we have the right to refuse service to anyone,” which felt like a slap in the face.
This kind of behavior from an owner is baffling. It’s as if he's actively trying to drive customers away. Maybe Seattle got to him—or maybe he genuinely doesn’t care about the business anymore. Either way, we won’t be coming back, and if you value being treated with basic respect, you might want to think twice before going yourself.
I have also been to a numerous number of boba tea places and there is nothing special about this place.
Good riddance.
I've always been pleased with the mango slush from the Kirkland location, where it's consistently prepared to a high standard. Unfortunately, my experience at the local outlet fell short of expectations, and I was disappointed by the difference in quality.
I love this boba place. I always order the monster boba latte, so good!
This business is so reliable. I order ahead on Clover and pick it up. They always have what I want. It's always hot. It's also quiet inside with seating and wifi if you need to work or study.
Comfortable place. It's quiet and clean. Kinda a vibe for students to bring their laptops and study, there's posters on the wall about events and tutors. I like it here. The price isn't bad compared to the other shops on the Ave
Their machine was broken and it accidentally charged me for two drinks. When I asked for one of those drinks they said they don’t know how to do that. So I had to get two drinks even though I just wanted one. Better learn how to do refunds and fix the machine for customers.

The owner is really sweet!
I’ve been going here for around 2 years and the boba is delicious. They also have self checkout stands which are nice if you’re an introverted or shy person.
I have tried and tested almost all of the boba places on the ave now, and I can’t say that this one is one of the tops. There are many better options. This was watered down and bland. Not rich and nice.
Best boba ever! Try the signature black tea with golden boba - it’s the BEST. The owner is also so so so kind and sweet.

One of the many milk tea options on this block.
There are also a couple of coffee drinks. There is some seating and wifi. There are two tablets to order from.
Parking is all street parking, and relatively close to a bus line and link station.
