Without a doubt the best brewers of sours in the Seattle area. While others like Urban Family make great kettle sours, Dirty Couch makes fantastic sours that are not simply loaded with fruit. This more authentic style may be an acquired taste for some, but they are of the highest quality. Service and knowledge of the beer is absolutely top notch as well. Worth the visit!

Got charged $56 for a 32 ounce growler and a single sour. Maybe this was a mistake? Was not expecting that price.

i visited for the first time today and i can’t say enough good things about this place—the sours are the best of the best, employees are super friendly and they have a great selection of games to play while you enjoy their delicious and complex brews. the peach ginger sour is an absolute must try! dirty couch is an absolute gem!!

Ignore the negative connotations; Dirty Couch Brewing is not a dirty brewery. Yes, this is another Seattle brewery that is focused on sours and wild fermentation, but again it was highly recommended by our beer friends in Seattle. This fantastic stop has a ton of highly rated beers of varying degrees of tart and prismatic colors. Our favorite two beers, “Rampant Sour Red” and “Armchair Philosopher,” are both bold and rich in flavor. “Rampant Sour Red” is a Flanders-inspired sour red ale, while “Armchair Philosopher” is a wine barrel aged braggot brewed with honey. While it wasn’t the first braggot of the trip, Armchair Philosopher’s distinct profile was a trip highlight.

I am a lover of sours! If you don't like sours this post isn't for you.Our group of 4 each ordered a different sour. All 4 of us loved our choices and you couldn't go wrong. The menu has a sour ranking of 1-5 which tells you how sour/tart it is and the 1's were just as delicious as the 5's.The only thing to watch out for is there was a dog there we were told we could pet by the guy working there and the dog bit/nipped me because he was definitely getting aggressive from all the stimulation. So be careful if you have a dog or small humans.

This was my favorite brewery in Seattle. I enjoyed a flight of every sour on the menu and not one beer (out of 10) was a disappointment. Highly recommend.

On my way to another brewery, I passed by this one that had a lot of people. It was a bit hard to see while intending to drive past because it was at bottom of a hill. But, since the other one leff a bit to be desired, I circled back to check it out.Focused on barreled sours, they have a narrow fridge ti grab from. One issue I found is the fridge was backing onto the street and the bench was right in front of the fridge. So, while browsing what to buy it was hard to read the small print and what was in the fridge. And there were many different varieties so it was hard to keep track of as well. The bottled sour I got was very good. The ipa (I needed something easier to drink as well) was not as good.Regardless, definitely a nice place to get some nice bottles to share. Why is it called dirty couch, I didn't look around to look for one. But maybe cause Brett smells like dirty socks?

Really cool place! They specialize in sours, brewed with wild yeast. The bartender , Shannon, was the nicest bartender I’ve ever had and gave me so many samples, and explained so much about their beers and their processes. Will definitely be back!

Maybe this brewing is just not my type of thing. I don’t like their dark and sour. The dark (lady something) is bitter than I thought. Not like IPA bitter but medicine bitter, not in a good way. The sour one (Cersei ?) tastes like kombucha but goes bad.Sorry maybe this is just not my thing.Anyhow, I did get one of its glassware, cute glassware and I love it.

Took great care of our community event tonight. Awesome upstairs space with view of the ship canal. Excellent tap selection with bottles and cans to go too! The heat is coming, enjoy their outdoor space too!

Delicious sours, great ambiance, and outdoor seating!

If I have my beer history correct, the brewmaster at DCB was enticed away from Urban Family, which used to be located a stone's throw away in Magnolia. The carrot the owners dangled to secure his tenure as their beer-making magician was the smartest business decision they made ... DCB is among my top three favorite breweries in Seattle. They specialize in creative sours that will blow your mind and/or palette.I love the location, I love that it takes some effort to get to the location, and I love that the effort involved in getting to the location helps keep the vibe alive for serious beer enthusiasts to enjoy some seriously good beer.

The owner is extremely knowledgeable. We came in not entirely sold on sour beers and left loving them. If you are looking to learn about sours and have interest in trying new beers don't look any further.
