I would rate my personal experience at Duke’s a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars. What stood out the most during our visit was the combination of genuinely warm service and the spectacular oceanfront view—it really makes the dining experience feel special and memorable.
The food selection is excellent, with a menu that leans heavily toward pescatarian cuisine. Every dish we tried was flavorful and satisfying. Although the menu doesn’t specifically list a kids’ menu, our server was more than accommodating when we inquired. We ordered Alfredo pasta with a side of chowder for our toddler, and it turned out to be fantastic—so parents, just ask and they’ll gladly help! The restaurant is also PWD-friendly, which is a major plus and something I always appreciate.
That said, be prepared for crowds. Duke’s is a popular spot, and for good reason. The place tends to get packed at almost any time of day, so I highly recommend making a reservation in advance. Without one, the wait time could stretch from 30 minutes to an hour.
The only reason I’m taking off half a star is that their signature clam chowder, while tasty, was a bit too salty for my preference and could benefit from a reassessment.
Overall, though, we thoroughly enjoyed the food, the thoughtful service, and the entire dining experience. Duke’s is definitely a place I would recommend to both locals and visitors who want to pair great food with an unbeatable view!

I was so excited when Dukes came out with a dedicated event space. Timing was tough because this was just prior to Covid but they've come back in full swing and glory and I am so happy and grateful! The space is absolutely beautiful with a luxury vibe as you're right on the marina; luxury yachts are all around you. It is a very easy space to manage logistically and moving from the outdoor space to the indoor space comes off without a hitch. Finally the food quality is unparalleled! Most venues are just using say for example Atlantic farm-raised salmon...😒 Not here at Dockside. The food is top-notch and fired minutes before it's served.

We loved having our wedding at Dockside! The servers, bartenders, and staff were amazing and made sure we always had enough food and drinks. The space (and fortunate weather) put on a great showcase of Seattle to our 81 guests who were all visiting from elsewhere. The venue is in a local iconic seafood spot right on Lake Union, which has beautiful views for those visiting. We so appreciate Katie Melvin and the coordinating team's attention to our needs, the swift responses to constant emails, and the time in making sure our big day went well. We feel so lucky to have made such special memories at a venue/restaurant we're excited to point out and come back to in future years!

Such a great spot for a wedding: the food was amazing, the view is interesting, and even parking is easy for guests. Please note that you're not actually allowed to take photos on the adjacent private dock, HOWEVER, a random boat owner on the dock invited myself and the couple out there which is how we got the photo with the space needle in the background. For other photos we went to a park before the ceremony.

We recently had our happily ever after party at Dockside at Duke's, it was nothing short of magical! The venue is perched right on the water of Lake Union, offering breathtaking views that made our special day even more memorable. The combination of the stunning scenery and the flexible indoor/outdoor spaces allowed our guests to seamlessly flow between the two, making for a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
The wait staff at Dockside went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. From going the extra mile by laying out cheesecloths just as I envisioned to lighting the candles, they were attentive to every detail, no matter how small. Their dedication truly made the day stress-free for us and our guests.
The food was a highlight—an exquisite representation of Pacific Northwest cuisine. Everything was delicious, flavorful, and presented beautifully, impressing all our guests. Our guests could not stop raving about how good the food was! Calling it nothing like the generic wedding food they had past receptions.
The bartenders were equally impressive, expertly crafting our specialty cocktails with ease and ensuring everyone had what they needed throughout the evening.
The bridal suite was a perfect, convenient space for getting ready, adding to the ease of the day. Wait staff came in and brought us drinks and appetizers - it was the most perfect and stress-free experience. And when it came time to clean up, the staff handled everything, taking care of all the garbage and leaving us with nothing to worry about. I even asked if I could help and they said no.
We couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our wedding. Dockside at Duke's provided not only a beautiful setting but also exceptional service that exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend this venue to any couple looking to create a truly unforgettable wedding experience!

I have added this venue to our VIP Venue list for 2024+2025 which grants their clients a $200 discount on all wedding planning packages simply because we can't wait to work at this venue again!

Dockside @ Dukes was our dream wedding venue. The location on Lake Union is just magical. The outside area was perfect for our ceremony and cocktail hour and the inside was the best for dinner and dancing. The food was amazing we picked the Duke buffet package and were told by many guest how this was the best wedding food they have had and we agree. All the servers at our wedding were attentive and made sure our guest were taken care of. Katie is the venue & catering coordinator. She was very communicative and made sure all our details were documented so the day of wedding went smoothly. She responded to all my email questions quickly and efficiently. We were happy to find a venue that was all inclusive (catering, tables & chairs, linens, etc.) it made a huge difference and we didn't have to rent or hire too many vendors. I would highly recommend having your wedding or event at Dockside @ Dukes

Had a horrible experience at this joint. Went in to the bar for a drink with a group after an event and the bar staff were terribly rude, acted like they were super put-out that we dared come in 45 minutes before closing. Refused to serve more than one drink to me and then proceeded to serve an off-duty employee and her guest after then refusing our group saying, "we're shutting it down". I won't EVER go in there again.
