It's a first come first serve basis place, so that means you have to find your own seat and place yourself. Nobody to monitor who came first or assign seats or manage the waiting lines. So anybody can just walk in and find a seat and be seated wherever it's empty. While this is good if the place is empty. But not on a weekend.! We thought the people who enter maintain a line..but they were all just going ahead even when there were people who had come before them...so it's a little tricky. Also I found the people were alil rude..they weren't responding properly.. it was busy as we had gone here on a Saturday night. After we got food served, the pastas were too sour for my pallette.. it felt like there was was excessive vinegar in it.. we couldn't eat it at all.. we had ordered 3 pastas and all of them were really very sour. The spaghetti which I did not take a photo of was just too oily.. and the other two were just too sour sour enough to give a person acidity!

Donna’s pulls a lively crowd, and walking in during the first happy hour set the tone right away. The place was packed, energy high, and they even had Death Note playing on a projector in the bathroom which gave the spot a quirky charm. Most drinks and all pastas drop to $10 during happy hour, which makes it feel like a solid deal. I ordered the Always Dreaming at the bar, a green apple cocktail that looked great and tasted decent - 7/10. I managed to grab a seat just as my food was ready. The black pepper fettuccine came out al dente, but the sauce fell flat and needed more flavor, closer to a 5/10 for me. Despite that, the overall vibe carried the experience and made the place feel fun. I would come back again, mainly with friends and definitely during happy hour.

my friend ordered a cavatelli with no meat at the bar. the cashier said that was no problem and rung us up. when the food came, there was meat in it so my friend tried to tell the server that there was meat in her pasta. before she could finish her sentence the server rudely interrupted her by saying “so if you read the menu, it says there’s pork. that’s meat.” my friend tried to explain that when she ordered, she specified that she wanted no meat to which the server replied “you should talk to her (the cashier) then because all the order says is no peas” and walked away. it was obvious that the cashier simply misheard my friend while taking her order. i completely understand that things like this happen in a loud bar and that’s totally fine, but the combative and belittling tone and absolutely no effort to fix the problem ruined our experience. there’s no reason that it should be a customers responsibility to solve a problem with their misorder, especially when it was such an easy fix and we had already tipped. later on, the original cashier came back and asked us if our food came out ok to which my friend explained that there was meat but it was simply a misunderstanding. she kindly offered to make the pasta for us again. this coupled with not being able to find a seat when we entered resulted in quite a stressful experience. the food was really good though.

been here many times and it’s always be good! If you come for happy hour come right when it starts bc seats fill quick and are hard to come by! The new diavolo pasta is great

Incredible happy hour pasta deal that was a huge portion and very good quality. Drinks are unique and delicious (loved the tomato basil twist on a martini). Low lighting and crowded, but I think that only adds to the ambiance.

We’ve come here a few times over the past couple of years and always had good experiences. But during our last visit, we saw the bartender Em look around to make sure no one was watching, then spit into a drink she was making. It was really disappointing and concerning. We’ve liked this place before, but that was unacceptable.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 9/10 — Pasta Happy Hour at Donna’s (Seattle, WA)
The hubby and I tried Donna’s tonight for their pasta happy hour, and it was delicious! The service was great — our bartender, a fellow Bay Area native, was super sweet and attentive. The portions were generous and the prices unbeatable. We ordered two appetizers, two entrees, and a glass of wine for just $45 total!

The bar has a great vibe — low lighting, lots of plants, disco balls, and a killer playlist featuring Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and smooth R&B. Even on a rainy night, the place was full, which says a lot. Bonus points for the fun detail: there’s a projector in the bathroom playing Sex and the City!

Overall, Donna’s gets a 9/10 from me. Great energy, solid food, and a cozy, stylish atmosphere. Definitely coming back!

If you can manage to find a seat, this place is pretty good. Most sit down restaurants will give you a better meal, but it’s cheap and fun.
