good $5 donut shop.

their yeast donut is between Krispy Kreme and grocery store re soft/fluffy/chewiness. They have more varieties though, making them similar to outfits like voodoo.

While it's double the price of other non-franchise donut places, it's priced that way probably because of the ingredients used. Oh, and service. Staff is super friendly. Probably cuz their paid a liveable wage? The PoS still asked for tips tho : /

They tend to sell out, so arrive early during their business hours.

I know they offer gluten free donuts, but check their website re dairy and nut free stuff as well if that's important to you.

What a delightful and welcoming little spot! I was just passing through Seattle when I happened upon this treasure and the instant I walked in the door it felt right. There was a wide selection of delicious doughnuts, and the server was a pleasure - while I was at my table eating my doughnut several locals stopped in to say hi! It's clear I'm not the only one who felt at home here.

The doughnuts are fantastic! You can't believe how big and fluffy they are so many flavors. You can have your favorite coffee too. There are places to sit.

Shout out to yall! Not only are the employees incredibly kind, personable, and overall lovely (grabbed my purse for me after I left it in the shop and gave me a surprise donut) but the doughnuts are DELICIOUS and worth every penny.

Dough Joy is such a bright spot in West Seattle—both the doughnuts and the people behind the counter are consistently wonderful. The vibes are always welcoming, and there’s a genuine kindness in the way they treat customers that makes each visit feel special.

Every flavor I’ve tried has been a hit. You really can’t go wrong!

Great options for donuts, super cute design, they have gluten free donuts now. I love the tiramisu and chocolate chip ones! The staff was super friendly and considerate of my dietary restrictions (gluten free). Would recommend the coffee and drinks as well.

Gluten-free vegan donut options that are actually amazing - heck yes!

It’s so hard to find allergy-friendly treats that actually taste good, and I was so so happy when I tried these donuts.

There was no wait when we got it, and got lucky with street parking so it was a fast trip.

The gluten-free donuts do have a slightly sweet-corn taste, which was unexpected but actually really worked. I tried the strawberry, chocolate, and cherry option, and the strawberry was by far my favorite but they were all really good.

They have seating so you could likely work from the donut shop. They also have coffee and tea, but heads up - the matcha isn’t ceremonial grade so I decided to skip it.

I would absolutely go back again.
