Amazing Chef and amazing food!

Down to Earth has genuinely changed my life. I have an eating disorder and have tried just about every meal service out there—local, national, big-name, small-batch—you name it. For whatever reason, I just couldn't find one I was comfortable eating, until finding Down to Earth!

The meals don’t feel like prepped food or a generic delivery service. They taste like someone who knows me made a nourishing meal in my own kitchen, with care and real ingredients. There’s something deeply comforting about that.
For the first time in a long time, I actually enjoy eating.

I’m so grateful I found this service—it’s been a turning point in my recovery, and I truly can’t thank the Down to Earth team enough.

This review is long overdue - six and a half years, to be sure, but the gratitude I feel for the unforgettable culinary experience at our Woodinville wedding in 2018 is still as vivid as ever.
Chef David and Down to Earth Cuisine delivered far more than a meal; they created a moment. From the initial tasting to the final bite on our big day, every interaction was thoughtful, professional, and personal. The food was exquisite - beautifully presented, perfectly timed, and absolutely delicious.
The menu was nothing short of exceptional. The braised beet salad with pistachio purée, shaved pear, burrata, and blueberry was a complete showstopper; almost too good to be just an appetizer 😉. Equally memorable was the oxtail ragout, which was perfectly rich and comforting, paired with rosemary polenta and a delicate sherry gastrique. Our guests still talk about it to this day. Both the pan-seared halibut and filet entrées were cooked with absolute precision and paired with unexpected yet beautiful elements like bacon cauliflower purée and pickled parsnip.
What impressed us just as much as the food was the team’s quiet mastery. No event is without its inevitable behind-the-scenes challenges, but Chef David and his crew handled everything with such poise and professionalism that we were never once aware of a single hiccup. Their preparation was thoughtful, their execution flawless, and their service delivered with true heart.
If you’re lucky enough to work with Chef David, do. He brings talent, care, and a personal touch that’s rare and unforgettable.
Though this review is long overdue, it in no way reflects a lack of gratitude for the unforgettable experience.

Outstanding Private Chef Services – Consistently Exceptional

We’ve had the pleasure of using this company’s private chef services three times now, and every experience has been exceptional. From the very first dinner, we were impressed by the high level of professionalism, the quality of the food, and the seamless service. Each time, the meals were thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The chefs not only created incredible dishes but also provided an experience that felt both elevated and effortless.

That said, our most recent experience truly stood out, thanks to Chef Ayelet. She brought everything we already loved about the service—delicious food, warm hospitality, and impeccable execution—but elevated it even further with her attention to detail and respect for our kitchen. She was friendly and engaging while also giving us the space to enjoy our evening, moving through the kitchen with such quiet efficiency that we started calling her the Silent Ninja Chef.

What impressed us the most was her meticulous cleanliness. It was clear that her Michelin-star training instilled a deep commitment to keeping everything pristine. She left our kitchen spotless, which not only showed her professionalism but also made us feel like she truly respected our space—something we deeply appreciated.

And, of course, the food was outstanding. Every dish was perfectly balanced, creative, and full of layered flavors. The way she blended spices and seasonings was incredibly thoughtful, and we found ourselves talking about the meal long after she left. On top of that, she even prepared a gorgeous curry stew for the following week—something we are still looking forward to enjoying.

Ayelet was also a fantastic representative of the company, sharing insights about meal prep services and other offerings in a way that felt natural and engaging. Her presence made our Valentine’s dinner feel extra special, and we can’t thank her enough.

After three amazing experiences, we can confidently say that this company delivers excellence every time. If you're looking for a private chef service that offers restaurant-quality food, warm hospitality, and a true respect for your home, this is it. Highly recommend!

We celebrated my mom's 80th birthday this past weekend with an amazing meal from Down to Earth Cuisine. Chefs Tom and Dean worked magic in the kitchen to craft a meal that my mom, who has traveled and entertained extensively, called one of the best meals she has ever had. My family has some specific dietary requirements and I was a little nervous when I first contacted David, the owner, and requested not only a gluten-free meal, but a dessert made without refined sugar. He assured me that not only could he accommodate these requests but we would be more than satisfied with the outcome. He was not wrong. Not only was the entire meal gluten-free, but was modified for one diner to be vegetarian. In addition, the amazing dessert was made with honey and not refined sugar. With all of these restrictions, you might think the flavor would suffer but nothing could be further from the truth…fresh, quality ingredients win every time and the results were delicious. Chef Tom explained every course and how it was prepared, and worked with me on any questions I had. The kitchen was cleaner when Chefs Tom and Dean left than when they arrived. And David recommended some wonderful wine pairing suggestions for each course. I cannot recommend this service enough! Thank you, Down to Earth Cuisine, for helping make my mom’s 80th birthday such a special occasion!

They provided a variety of menu options and welcomed my suggestions. They brought everything needed and offered a process to rent additional items if necessary. They were very accommodating with last-minute changes. Our personal chef, Eric, was punctual and highly professional. He prepared an impressive spread, and there was plenty of food for everyone.

As wonderful of a chef as he is, he’s a nice person too.What a treat it is to open our fridge and find quality and delicious meals waiting for us to heat up. Meal plans are presented weekly and each one has been creative and suited our dietary needs and tastes perfectly. Everything has been delicious! And my kitchen is left as clean as it was when Chef Eric arrived. I thoroughly recommend their services!

From the first phone call with Chef David the whole process was so smooth! We celebrated our sons birthday at Suncadia. It was a camp theme so we went with the buffet style meal. Chef Tom was amazing! Very prompt, easy to talk to and most of all he did an incredible job!! We had a mixture of dietary needs that he prepared wonderfully. The presentation was so nicely done as well. It was wonderful to allow everyone to relax, enjoy a delicious meal and no clean up! I would highly recommend them.
