I got the Chicken and Waffles here. The chicken wings they had with it were pretty nice and juicy! The waffle was decent, if a bit different; it tasted kind of grainy, and kind of thin (almost like a pancake). The macaroni and cheese, I actually liked. The cheese they gave with it was a pretty good texture; decently thick! Overall, I would be happy to visit again.

I believe in supporting and giving Black owned businesses a chance to since we are so far and few to kill the stigma that comes from being black owned. Unfortunately , Drae’s did not. The moment I walked up the the counter to order my food, the young lady (clearly a teen) jumped on the phone to take a call, didn’t acknowledge my presence, then on e off the phone, asked “what do you want” - no really those were her words. I order and she acted as though she didn’t hear me and with a very sarcastic attitude said “what” as though I just bothered her (please keep in mind this is my first time in this establishment) So I said it again but this time picked up her weekend special menu and point to what I wanted. She rang up my order, and left me wondering what to do next. Then look at me and said “oh you’re done” i walked away, she called me back to ask if it was for here or to go. My reply….”wouldn’t that have been one of the first questions you asked?”I’m not going to bash us a black folks but My PEOPLE, please offer customer service training before hiring young and old). You only get once to attract, after that you are playing make up.

10/10went to Draes after leaving a crowded brunch spot down the street and SO glad we did. the staff were so kind and the food was amazing (and well priced!)they stop serving at 130 but today (Sunday) they sold out around 1230 so go earlier!

Small neighborhood restaurant. We were lucky to find some street parking. Excellent service. Amazing food! Eco-friendly take out containers. What's not to love? My husband got the fried fish sandwich-he said it was very tasty. I got the loaded grits with double bacon and no eggs. Sooooo delicious! Coma inducing comfort food. We split the mac & cheese which was over the moon good! We will definitely be back!

The food was pretty good. Prices are cheap. The portions are kind of small however. We had the chicken and waffle plate & the pork chop with Rice & Gravy during this visit. The restaurant interior is small with only a few tables and there is also no A/C in the building so the temperature can get a bit uncomfortable on warm days. They don't have to go cups for their coffee for some reason and only tell you this after you pay for the order.

I really don't know how I lived so close without coming by. I work nearby during summer and it's my lunch go to at least once a week. Recently I had a credit card processing issue wherein my card was double charged and staff was VERY thorough about making it right. Plus, where else are you going to get a catfish sandwich. Look, they actually season their fries. Just get your order in before one!!
