Had a wonderful anniversary dinner here on a sunny Alki Thursday. So many hits; pull-apart rolls, oysters, salmon tartare, heirloom tomato dish, salmon with fingering potatoes. Drinks (both boozy and N/A) were fantastic. Best part was our bartender Adam who was knowledgeable, funny and very sweet.

What a wonderful dinner at Driftwood! We sat up front facing the view and enjoyed the spectacular oysters, the beet salad and the pull apart rolls. It sounds pretty ordinary but what they did with it was extraordinary.

Food that gives you something to think about.
This is definitely the place for people who are passionate about food. Driftwood is the place where you take a bite, close your eyes, then try to dissect every flavor and texture. My recommendation is to make your reservation and intend on staying awhile to savor every bite. I would not recommend as a quick drop-in spot because you might miss out on something wonderful.
The food itself is such quality without being even a bit pretentious. I really, really appreciate the fact that the chef sources the ingredients from local farmers and farmers markets. This is not a Sysco restaurant. Imported goods be damned!
The staff seemed genuinely happy to be there for work. Unfortunately, it's a rare occurrence to find a spot where the staff takes pride in the food they prepare and serve. Driftwood checks that box.
Another recommendation is to Uber to dinner at Driftwood. Alki is extremely busy and parking is a bit frustrating

Good 👍 food 🍱 and drinks🍹in beautiful 🤩 downtown Seattle. Much of their menu consists of all - local fresh ingredients, including their cocktail🍸menu. Fine views of the Ocean 🌊 are also included with your meal 🥘 here .

We had a truly wonderful dinner at Driftwood this weekend. I've ended up at other locations on Alki before when looking for a finer dining experience and I will not bother with any of those again! We're excited to go back and try everything on the menu. The beets, fries with eyes, and rockfish were all spectacular. The service stood out as especially great as well.

We came in just for a quick bite but our server Kennedy was amazing! The food was delicious and he was such a positive presence to be around.
Fantastic the first time; disappointing the second. Service was so great initially, but this time we were perpetually waiting for service, particularly drinks. Our waiter was busy with a large party, but for these prices, I think it’s fair to expect the restaurant to prepare for that.
Food got better as we went from small bites to proteins, but the flavors weren’t as crisp and perfect as the first time.
Atmosphere is fantastic and they definitely have the potential to be amazing. Hopefully they can figure out how to be spectacular every time.

I was out walking my dog on a beautiful Saturday early evening and saw 2 vacant outdoor chairs in front of Driftwood. I had been at this location under a variety of ownership and wondered what this new place would be like.
Alki is a casual beach neighborhood that I have been comning to for most of my life. It offers a spectacular view of Elliott bay as well as close proximity to Seattle.
I ask the hostess if the seat outside was ok since I had a small dog with me. She waves me to sit down and someone would be right out. It was still early and noticed there weren't many diners in the restaurant. I was interested in a quick cocktail and then on my way. After sitting for about 5 minutes, I stood up to see if I could spot a server. Finally, someone noticed me and came to get my order.
I was looking for a Kettle One martini served ice cold, no vermouth drop of pineapple. The kind server said.....We only serve local spirits. Ok, please pick for me. Server says: We only serve local fruits. Ok....that means no grapefruit juice either? Nope..... Ok, I will take two olives in my martini. Server says: Nope, do not have those either. Lemon twist? No, but we can spray lemon oil on the drink. That was 4 No's in a row and all I wanted was a chilled vodka with drop of something in it.
After my very delicious drink finally appeared (the lemon oil spray made it lovely) I asked the server if I could please have a small cup of water for my dog? A moment later, the hostess comes to me and reports that dogs are not allowed on the deck and therefore, they do not have any receptical for dog water.
I apologized not having seen anything indicating dogs were not allowed to sit outside. She said 'no, not here, on the other deck'. Ok. well, now I am confused. Why are you telling me dogs aren't allowed here when they are? Most places have dog bowels outside so passer bys with their pets can drink.
Bottom line. If it is this difficult to get a $20 cocktail the way you want it, go anywhere else. Life just cannot be this complicated.

I wanted to love the food, but it was so bad. The cod was the worst cod I've ever ate. The drinks were equally bad. I would never eat here again.
I made a reservation for when the restaurant was closed and was charged $100. No call back or refund.

They're serious about the locally sourced bit. No citrus, for example, so they've become incredibly creative as a result. Well worth a taste of what can be done with nearly only local things.
The staff is super kind and takes great care of you. Was here for an anniversary dinner and was not disappointed at all.

You get what you pay for and this place is expensive and well worth it for a beach side West Seattle joint.
Service a 10+. Was able to read the table and was really awesome. Food was amazing. Legit farm to table. The menu was a bit of a tough read as it is only a few items but our server pointed us in the right direction and the 4 plates that we shared were all absolutely excellent! Even though expected, absolutely spotless- clean in every way including the restrooms.
Drinks- one of the best Old Fashions I’ve had in Seattle, and I have had a bunch. Decent wine list.
You need a reservation and a expect to pay $250 for two with 2-3 drinks each but you will enjoy this place. Great for a first date.

Incredible level of service in a lovely space with good food. Great to eat PNW-sourced ingredients presented beautifully.
They surprised us with a delicious dessert to celebrate my husband's birthday!
It's also a nice place to go for a walk along the beach before or after dinner.
