Needs bartenders bartenders
Classic old school local tav. Friendly staff. Good food. Great place to hang out with friends. Seems like home the moment I walked in the door.
College staple bar! I've been there 40 years ago and it's still the same atmosphere! Great pizzas! Loud but that's a part of the atmosphere.
My Quaker seemed to enjoy the pizza enough which seemed good to him. I was pretending it was vegan as I watched him (kinda watched him) eat his pizza as we shared rugby goals for tries vibes with obvious flawless plans.
I drank so much beer here that they gave me a cool camo hat. This is one of my favorite bars of all time
Great neighborhood pub for a beer and food. We tend to stop by during the week when it’s quieter, but we’ve also been there for game days which are a good time. Service is good and the food is tasty. The fries are a must.
Plenty of games including pool and darts. Make sure to bring quarters with you.
We also love this place because we can bring our dog with us.

The bartender took one look at my ID and pretended like it was "too beat up" to read despite it having not even a single scratch on it and being considered valid at literally every other bar I've been to since I got this card 4 years ago. Never coming back here again, avoid at all costs.
It’s a neighborhood dive.

Came in on a Tuesday and the bartender didn't give a name. I had to interject my order while he was over serving regulars even while there were only 5 people in the whole place. Surprising given the "bar flies wanted" sign.
After reading all these great reviews, we walked to this tavern after visiting the UW campus with our son. Only to be told it was a 21 and above establishment. Didn’t offer to serve us food only. Just apologized. Made some lame excuse about frat boys. Very disappointed. They need to be clear in their advertising.

Terrible place if you want to have a good evening with your friends. Some older white bartender turned away my 2 Asian friends' (very real) ID's for no apparent reason. One of which is 26 and has won the Duchess Beer Hunter challenge. Other than "I don't have to take them," we were given no explanation. The bar doesn't have a scanner either, so there was no verifiable way to even check our identity. Terribly rude and discriminatory behavior, especially considering it's in the UW area.

Just tried to go to the duchess with a group of friends - who are all well over 21 (and completely sober) - and the bartender was rude and turned us all away. I myself am almost 26 and have been here many times and he wouldn’t even accept mine and offered no explanation why. Teach your bartender what a real ID looks like. Will not be coming back here.
