Thought most of the food was pretty great, especially for Seattle Mexican food :) I did think the chicken wasn't as good as other places. Think I gotta try one of the other meat options and see if that's the move.

Chips and salsa were pretty great though, so was the guac, and the owner seems like a nice dude. will come back for sure

Edit: I tried the Chile Colorado, very tasty burrito, 5 stars for me

It's alright mexican food (I'm mexican) waiter is nice. Just feels like there is always a family(,owners) there sitting judging you and taking over the front. Not cheap. Only worth it during lunch time.

Great food at a super friendly authentic neighborhood spot. I got the mole enchiladas, and my friends got the chilaquiles and they were both deliscious.

This would be a great spot for a group or birthday party too!

Can’t wait to go back 😋

We love our neighborhood restaurant! We’ve had the tacos, enchiladas, & pollo plates & all have been delicious! Reminds me of my mom’s cooking 🥰

The food is very good and always fresh. I'm new to the neighborhood, and everything that I have tried has exceeded my expectation, and the staff (Antonio) is very friendly and polite. Highly recommended.

The chips and salsa raised our hopes that El Gallito’s food had improved over the years, but our entrees dashed those hopes. This is (still) sub-par Mexican food; really disappointing.

here for the first time for lunch on Saturday and it was great. The service was great and the food was good and the lunch prices were good as well. Portions were good ! The only issue is that parking is very limited in the area, but other than that i would dine here again!

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Seattle, with very good drinks and a nice variety of homemade Mexican food. The chips and salsa rock! Antonio is an excellent waiter and always makes our stay enjoyable. Order the chile relleno and a margarita, it's our go-to meal.
I've been coming here for over twenty five years.
Never disappointed! It is a family run, local restaurant. SHOP & EAT LOCAL.
