I was recommended to El Grito by a self proclaimed "nacho enthusiast" and have since come over and over for their chicken tinga tacos. My friends and I have been coming over the past four years, and they are so amazingly consistent. Service is wonderful and always have a fun time.

El Grito is a fantastic spot for delicious food! I had the pastor tacos and the corn, and both were absolutely amazing. The tacos were packed with flavor, and the corn was perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere is lively and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a meal. Highly recommend checking it out!

Atmosphere was nice but the food wasn’t even close to authentic. Chipotle gives you a better Mexican experience than this place.

We were visiting Seattle on a cold, rainy evening and wanted something close to our hotel. I'm so glad we found El Grito! It was absolutely buzzing on a Wednesday night, and the atmosphere was great. Service was fast and friendly, and the food was good.

I recently visited El Grito Mexican restaurant in Seattle, and it was a delightful experience! The ambiance was cozy and warm, perfect for a relaxing meal. I ordered the cactus enchiladas, and my husband had the shrimp tacos—both dishes were excellent with great flavors and generous portions. The service was on point, making the experience even better. Highly recommend this place, and we’ll definitely be visiting again!

Pretty tasty food, the menu says they have flan but they don’t actually serve it anymore (kinda sad for a Mexican restaurant) but they did replace the flan with a dense and sweet bread pudding with a a burnt sugar crust served with vanilla ice cream. It was very good. I had chips and salsa at home because the amount they charge for something usually complementary is ridiculous. Me and my partner ordered the carne asada plate and the cactus tacos. The cactus was to die for😩😩. We also both had a slush is from the bar, a blue Hawaiian and a pina colada. The drinks were nice and strong and when asked they do offer extra mixer in case it’s too strong for your taste.

Parking: Girl if you find parking that’s close and free you lucky as hell🤣

The tacos where good.. unless it's Tuesday you can only order in a set of 3 and all the same meat.
The tacos where good but I wasn't exactly satisfied with the taste of the al pastor.

Authentic Latin vibes and excellent food. Feels like a Sonoran taco shop, only with SLU prices. Negra Modelo on draft and slushie drinks add to the draw.

I don’t know what I was expecting with takeout tacos but they were great. I had the cod tacos with an order of chips and guacamole. The tortillas of course were on point since they serve the Milpa Masa tortillas. The cod was really tasty and the toppings plentiful. My only complaint is that there were far more chips than guacamole and it seemed a bit expensive, however, it’s South Lake Union so that adds up.

Great Mexican food in SLU. Really enjoyed the food and drinks we sat outside and had excellent service from the team.
The tacos and other dishes were delicious and authentic.
Happy hour is a great option and goes until 6pm with tacos, quesadillas, nachos and other great options.
