This place is awesome! The food is incredible! The service was great! The atmosphere is neat. It's very convenient in terms of being near a bunch of hotels.
We had the nachos with the chicken, and an order of the steak tacos; we ate everything, cleaning the plate. It's a nice place to end a night, and get some good Mexican grub.

Cozy lil place! The server was a joy, super friendly. I had the vegan enchiladas w fajita veggies, it was delicious! I have high standards for Mexican food, being a lifetime Texan now living in Cali, and they still overperformed! Will definitely be back if I find myself in Seattle again.

I have been to El Grito a handful of times and have really enjoyed the drinks and atmosphere. However, this past Saturday a group of my friends and I decided to hit their happy hour from 4-6 before going downtown for a concert. We checked the website to confirm they had happy hour on Saturdays (as many restaurants do not) and we wanted to go somewhere that had a happy hour. When we arrived, the waitress looked confused and told us that they don’t do happy hour on the weekend. I pulled out my phone and showed her the website and she said she would tell the owner.
I think in this situation it would have been appropriate to still offer us happy hour prices or a discount on the bill. We had paid to uber there over other places, because they were advertising a happy hour online. No discount was offered and no apologies were given.
Overall just very disappointed. False Advertising is not cool!

From the moment we arrived until we left, the experience was awful. I came with my friends, and the service could not have been worse. The staff acted careless and unprofessional, and the manager’s behavior made things even more unpleasant. Our order was mixed up, and instead of fixing it politely, they responded with rude comments and unfriendly looks. I walked out feeling very disappointed and uncomfortable. This is definitely not a place I would return to.

Terrible experience from start to finish. I went with my husband, and the service was very bad. The staff were dismissive and unprofessional, and the manager’s attitude was even worse. If you order something, they give you something else, and if you tell them, they start talking to you in a rude way with strange faces instead of apologizing, Completely unacceptable. I left feeling upset and disgusted,I won’t be coming back and I advise others to avoid this place.

I ordered fish tacos to go from El Grito Taqueria and was shocked at the quality. The sauce they gave for the tacos was absolutely disgusting — watered down and they got my order wrong. I called to let them know, thinking they’d want feedback, but instead the manager (Greg) was incredibly rude. Rather than apologizing, he told me not to order from them again and took zero accountability.
If you care about fresh food or decent customer service, do yourself a favor and skip this place.
