Great food quality. Tastes like home-made, and has a very friendly and family like environment. I highly recommend it.

I have liked this place for a while - but the food has just gone downhill in the last three years.
Hate to say it… but try La Palma

I LOVE this place and my kids love it even more than I do. If you are only satisfied by high-brow experiences, this is not the place for you. But if you love great food and friendly service in a comfortable space, El Ranchon delivers!

Overpriced, any food truck is better than this place.
I'm sure the folks who run this place are really nice and I hate to leave bad reviews for any place that seems like it might be family-owned, but the food is just plain not good. And of course, being that this is Seattle, it's also overpriced.

I've been coming here for 30 years, but, I wish the food was seasoned! The staff is wonderful, but the food is BLAND.
Had a delicious meal and wonderful experience at El Ranchon. The owner was super attentive and lovely, and staff was very sweet. Our food was great - beef seasoned really well and large portions. Classic Mexican-American with a huge menu. This was our second time here and we plan to add it to the Magnolia rotation. Free chips and salsa, we got the Tacos al Carmen lunch special and the chimichanga (pictured mostly eaten, cause too good).

I picked up an order to go. The ETA was perfect -- they were bagging the last item as I walked in. I paid, left the restaurant, tripped and fell in the street, and broke my arm (I wish I was kidding). The staff ran out, grabbed the takeout bag I'd crushed but still tried to just bring home for some reason, checked I was okay, and remade the order for free. It was so delicious and I needed it after one of the more embarrassing moments of my life. 5/5 isn't enough -- this restaurant and the staff are so good.
