Couldn’t find the place, no signs or any kind of advertising on building just ended up going to taco time in the area!
Very clean place and friendly staff

Kinda frustrated actually. I ordered a burrito to eat on the airplane. I told them to-go and we're at the airport so I thought that would pretty clear.
The food was great. 5 stars.
But, I specifically ordered a burrito because it's easy to eat on a plane when correctly packaged. I was expecting it to be wrapped in paper or tin foil. Instead, I got a big ol' box that I didn't fit in my bag. -1 star.
What made me write this review though is that they CUT IT IN HALF! I could have figured something else out if they'd left it intact. Isn't that the whole point of a burrito? The tortilla provides a mostly liquid tight and completely solid tight covering. Cutting it in half meant all the stuff was dumped out in the box by the time I got on the flight. I had to use a fork to eat it (exactly what I was trying to avoid by ordering a meal I can usually eat with one hand). -1 star. Probably should be -2 but the folks were nice.
I hope somebody reads this and improves the packaging of their to-go burritos.
Summary: wrap it in tin foil and don't cut it. At a minimum, ask if that's how a to-go order would like it packaged.

Asked for a chicken taco. Driest tortilla, and driest chicken I’ve ever had. Good people are serving there, but they definitely need to improved their product. The meat from Al pastor was extremely salty.

Tacos in a liquor store. Delicious and consistent. We have been going here for years. The owners are super friendly and the food is great.

The place was slightly hard to find as it is located inside a liquor store. The people were welcoming and friendly and later we found out they are very talented at cooking. These were the best tacos I have had since the last trip to Mexico. We had Barbacoa and Carnitas. Initially I thought the prices were a little high, but the quality and service more than made up for it. If you are visiting Ballard Locks, this place is a short 200 feet from the entrance.

Stopped in after visiting the locks, fed my family and visitors for a great price with excellent food and service. We were all really impressed with the food and the atmosphere. It is well decorated and furnished. We liked all three meats we tried, carne asada, al pastor, and carnitas.

Love this local gem! The tacos are my favorite in Seattle, every type I've tried has been amazing. The new liquor store set up is also lovely with expanded seating. I seriously think anyone driving to TacoTime should reroute here! Wonderful friendly staff and service too :)

Best new taco place in Ballard! My favorite since El camion got forced out. It's pricey, but delicious. The carnitas are the most flavorful I've had in a long time.

I'm so happy they opened the restaurant after being a taco truck for so long ❤️ This is such a great little gem and the staff are genuinely some of the kindest people.I have eaten everything from the wet burrito to the quesadillas to the tacos, and have enjoyed all of the dishes. It is certainly not the best I've ever had, but ranks at B+/A- tier and definitely satisfies my Tex-Mex craving and at great value compared to other options in the area. My favorite tacos here are al pastor and carnitas!

El Taco Loco is LIVING PROOF that Mexican food in Seattle is no longer a punchline. Can they go toe-to-toe with the very best street tacos in Los Angeles? or San Francisco? or Mexico City?? No, don’t be ridiculous. But I would put these on par with “very good” tacos anywhere in the USA. Bonus: homemade horchata FTW.
