Stumbled on this place while taking a walk. The espresso was amazingly delicious and the folks working treated us like old friends. It truly was a gem of a find.

Delicious coffee! A must stop in Seattle if you’re a coffee snob. 😍💕 Currently enjoying a bag of their Colombia Jhoan Vergara at home, and they’re not kidding about the notes of starburst, candied orange, and ginger!

Possibly the best quality coffee in Seattle. I usually get an espresso and my wife gets a cappuccino, and the baristas here know how to craft them perfectly. On top of that, the atmosphere of high ceilings with brick walls is a soothing accompaniment, making not only the coffee reminiscent of Northern European coffee houses.

Such a nice spot! I went to Elm Coffee Roasters for a morning coffee and got a chocolate croissant — both were amazing. The coffee was rich and smooth, and the croissant was perfectly flaky. The vibe is super cozy, and I loved the smell of freshly roasted coffee as soon as I walked in. Definitely a great place to start the day!

Had some great coffee here. We ordered the one of everything. It is quite a great deal for what you get. Everything was high quality and tasted really good. Seating felt a little bit limited with not too many tables in the spot, but the bar also has quite a few chairs too.

The Jhoan Vergara available in March 2025 is stunning. One of the juiciest, most dimensional coffees I've tried in years.

told the cashier to keep the change because it was only 50¢, she said “oh wow” in a sarcastic tone, then proceeded to look at me with the most dead pan face of all time 😭staff needs to get off their high horse. the latte I got was wayyy to milky and the coffee tasted burnt

Excellent place!!!!!! Excellent coffee gosh so good. My latte featured their 9 swans and man was it so rich and flavorful. We also got a dirty chai with their in house chai and it was strong and balanced. What a way to top off

Their staff is extremely rude sometimes, I had two incidents of this. Coffee is average compared to other Seattle coffee shops, more like burnt coffee/milk like taste. If you prefer decent coffee and better hospitality, avoid this coffee at all costs.

Coffee beans are being roasted right in the background and the coffee is excellent. Taking a cup to go next door to the waterfall garden park is a great combo.

Best shot of espresso in Seattle?!

I’ve been drinking espresso for more than a decade and finally made my coffee pilgrimage to Seattle. Over the weekend I tried some amazing shots ** see list below ** but Elm by far had the best espresso I had all weekend. There was so much clarity in the shot. Perfectly extracted. Tart on the nose, smooth and complex to finish. Could not be happier.

All the love to the shops below but Elm tops my list!
