told the cashier to keep the change because it was only 50¢, she said “oh wow” in a sarcastic tone, then proceeded to look at me with the most dead pan face of all time 😭staff needs to get off their high horse. the latte I got was wayyy to milky and the coffee tasted burnt

Their staff is extremely rude sometimes, I had two incidents of this. Coffee is average compared to other Seattle coffee shops, more like burnt coffee/milk like taste. If you prefer decent coffee and better hospitality, avoid this coffee at all costs.

Best shot of espresso in Seattle?!
I’ve been drinking espresso for more than a decade and finally made my coffee pilgrimage to Seattle. Over the weekend I tried some amazing shots ** see list below ** but Elm by far had the best espresso I had all weekend. There was so much clarity in the shot. Perfectly extracted. Tart on the nose, smooth and complex to finish. Could not be happier.
All the love to the shops below but Elm tops my list!

Elm has been one of my favorite roasters and Cafes in Seattle for years. Very friendly baristas, soothing calm environment, great place to spend a morning reading or just stopping in for a coffee while strolling the neighborhood. One of the best espresso tonics I've ever had ?
