Awesome food in a cozy little space. It's pretty much all variations on fish and chips, but they're all done well. The winner for me is the halibut: super juicy and flavorful. The crab puppies are also a unique standout. But honestly, just get the sampler platter and split it with a friend to try everything.

There are only maybe 8 seats inside a few more outside, so be prepared to wait a few minutes for a seat or take it to-go.

Super affordable, too!

My new favorite fish and chips please! People were nice, food was insanely good and the value next to none! My wife and I enjoyed this tremendously. My wife is gluten-free and she was so excited that she was going to be able to try fish and chips again for the first time in a long time and she absolutely loved it! The sampler platter is a steal! The hush puppies all I got to say is OMG!

Spent a whopping 24 hours in Seattle and the only thing I wanted was fish and chips. Someone on Reddit suggested this place so we went and gave it a shot.

When I think fish and chips, I’m expecting beer battered fish. What a pleasant surprise to find a southern style fish fry @ Emerald City. Beautiful chunks of fresh halibut, cod and catfish, coated in a seasoned cornmeal batter and fried. Served piping hot by really friendly folks.

Clam strips were tasty, the chowder is smoky and delicious. Finished with some buttermilk and sweet potato pie. Oh the remoulade and tartar sauces SLAP.

The best tartar sauce you will ever have! The crab puppies are amazing, I can’t believe I never thought to make a bite sized crab cake. The fish is always done perfectly, juicy and tender but with a crispy crust. I’ve started coming every week to load up before game night with my friends :)

Amazing cod with great breading and. The fries and slaw were great. It was the best sweet potato pie I've ever had. We will definitely visit here again.

Really chill corner for fish and chips. The location makes it feel like I’m in NYC. Great food as well

The salmon burger is not a fresh fillet of salmon, but a patty that is perfectly rounded like it’s premade or frozen. The bun isn’t toasted. So it’s like a Costco salmon burger, but for 15.99. The fried cod’s breading looks and tastes like it’s pre-breaded and not sure if the cod was fresh or frozen before being cooked. The customer service was unfortunately my least favorite part of this experience. The cashier was nice and polite but the cook had an attitude—he gave my mom her food in an open container with a container on the top of it to ā€œcloseā€ it but the food was hanging out; I asked for container that closes, like the one my salmon burger came in and he said why and that they don’t usually give those out. I’m like so she can have a container for her food that isn’t open. My mom ended up saying forget it because of his attitude. Won’t be going back.

Had clams and catfish, flavor was great on both depending on your preference the catfish was a bit soft so ask for it harder if you like it that way. The tartar sauce is more of a remoulade and it is the best

Delicious fish and chips! The batter was a little bit spicy, and so was the tartar sauce and seasoning on the fries. The tartar sauce paired just as well with the fries as it did with the fish. Overall this is a 10/10. The 3-piece cod fish and chips were freshly cooked and sizzling hot. The staff was friendly and nice. Cheap prices, great food, close to the Space Needle, and a must-stop for anyone visiting Seattle.

It’s a small joint with limited parking on a busy street at an intersection, so be prepared for that. Limited seating inside, not a fancy place, but it sure gets the job done. The cole slaw was not sweet, but it still had a good flavor.
