You can't get much better to classic 2nd wave Seattle coffee than Vivace.

I am not sure if its normal/ok for the baristas here to reuse the milk and not rinse the milk pitcher after each use, but it was pretty disgusting to me. Ive never been to a cafe where they literally mix leftover steamed milk from previous customer’s order to the next customer’s order. See that milk residues inside of the milk pitcher? I wonder how many lattes have been served using that same pitcher.

After Sabrina Carpenter’s Espresso, Espresso Vivace is my jam. My husband and I were visiting from Dallas and we have been watching acooknamedmatt and this was one of his recommendations on his other channel. Let me tell you, his recommendations are spot on. We both ordered the cafe nico both in the regular size. I got mine with oat milk and my husband got his with whole milk. Holy cow, it is unbelievable. We still think about it to this day and we appreciate how it is rich but not overpowering. The orange-cinnamon infusion is such a special touch. We will definitely be back again. Service is great and fast. If you’re looking for a true gem in the world of coffee, come here and get the cafe nico!

The coffee is great but it shouldn’t take as long as it does for them to ship their coffee especially when it’s local.

Low key classic Seattle joint. My coffee lover family member loves these beans as the best. Don’t go here if you’re in a rush.
And the parking situation for quick pick up, you have to basically park illegally, but everyone does it on this block.

Parking: Median divider is where food delivery people park

The best espresso on earth, bar none. I have been drinking coffee here since 1994, and it has never failed to impress. I can't believe it only has a 4.6 rating. This place deserves a 5.0 all day long.

I love the coffee here but the barista who served me was extremely rude to me for ho reason and barely spoke to me. She acted like I was an annoyance for being here which is just weird. I get that the workers probably don't get paid enough and coffee customers can be annoying but literally scowling and acting like people are an annoyance to you is just not good for business. It makes me not want to tip or come back. Not to be a Karen lmfao the coffee is delicious. But lately the service is rly bad

Tried the "Seattle white 'liberals' try not to be racist challenge" and this location failed, twice. Twice I've gone here, twice the baristas have been rude and borderline racist. Neither the white customers in front of me or after me had their orders incorrect or dealt with a rude barista.
At the end of the day, if y'all want a white-only coffee spot, then market it as such; you'll get more business either way.

For the POC folk, don't waste your money here. If you want good coffee, you're in the city for it, just skip this spot for your own sake

I'm obsessed with Espresso Vivace! This institution has been serving up some of the city's best coffee and espresso drinks for years, and I'm hooked.

From the rich, velvety texture of their espresso to the expertly crafted pour-overs and lattes, every drink I've had here has been absolute perfection. The baristas are knowledgeable, friendly, and truly passionate about their craft.

The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with plenty of seating and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. It's the perfect spot to grab a morning coffee, meet with friends, or simply sit and enjoy a quiet moment to yourself.

If you're a coffee lover like me, or just looking for a great cup of joe in Capital Hill, do yourself a favor and get to Espresso Vivace ASAP. You won't regret it!
