We were able to host a dinner for my wife's 40th birthday party at Fair Isle and our experience was amazing. We worked with Kerri on all of the planning, she was so helpful and accomodating to all of our requests in planning a dinner for 12 that included hors d'oeuvres, appetizers, main courses, and dessert. It was also particularly nice to have a wide variety of drink options like kombucha, sparkling water, and wine to go along with the incredible beer made at Fair Isle, so there really was something for everyone. We had an area in the back of the main taproom reserved for our party on a Saturday night and the whole package was quite reasonably priced. If you're looking for a fantastic place to host a special event for a larger group, I would highly recommend Fair Isle.

Fair Isle Brewing hosted an fantastic private event party for our organization. From the planning phase through the end of the event evening, their staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. Our group of over 100 enjoyed both their drink and food offerings and their space was perfect for our informal meet and greet. We love their innovative beers and that they forage for many of their ingredients and keep mostly to local products. Fair Isle also went above and beyond and generously sponsored our scholarship program. I highly recommend them and their space for a private function.

Amazing beer (hanami is my fav) and so glad we came on a Sunday to have Tacos Extranjeros. Not only are they super dope and the tacos are amazingly delicious, they have a taco for your dogs 💕. Great beer and food. Def worth a visit and your time!

Some of their beers are very special, not at all the typical offering at local taprooms. I came away with a 9.4oz bottle of Fair Isle Rankin, a farmhouse stout beer aged in Westland Distillery casks. The flavor of the cask comes through in the beer, making for an extraordinary flavor. I’m waiting for a special occasion to open it, perhaps my 70th birthday.

From the moment I started planning, Kerri, the manager, was an absolute joy to work with—responsive, accommodating, and attentive to every detail to ensure the celebration went perfectly. They reserved a beautiful section of the brewery for our group of 25 and graciously allowed us to bring in a cake to complete the celebration.
The venue itself is lovely, with a warm, welcoming vibe. The atmosphere was perfect for a celebration, balancing a relaxed feel with just the right amount of energy. The entire staff at Fair Isle went above and beyond, providing friendly, attentive service that truly stood out. Every guest commented on how exceptional the food was and how amazing the drinks were—a testament to Fair Isle’s commitment to quality.
Everyone had a fantastic time, and I left with the best memories of an incredible night. I can’t recommend Fair Isle highly enough for anyone thinking of hosting a large party or event. My favorite brewery in Ballard! The taproom is beautiful, warm, and cozy, with a well-curated vibe. Despite its size, it offers a variety of spaces—perfect for date nights, hanging out with friends or family, or enjoying a book with a cold beer on a cloudy day. The outdoor area is also great, with heat lamps & cover to keep things comfortable year-round. Dogs are allowed outside now too which is a plus!
The beer stands out from the crowd—always something new and unique beyond the usual IPAs. The brewers aren't afraid to experiment with bold ingredients, often with excellent results.
What truly sets this place apart is the food. They have a full chef’s kitchen cooking in-house, offering upscale dishes at great prices. It blows most food trucks away and rivals many top restaurants nearby. My favorites? The jojos(cooked with fresh potato), mussels, and kale salad with smoked salmon—so good.
If only they had a jazz or trivia night!
