Some of their beers are very special, not at all the typical offering at local taprooms. I came away with a 9.4oz bottle of Fair Isle Rankin, a farmhouse stout beer aged in Westland Distillery casks. The flavor of the cask comes through in the beer, making for an extraordinary flavor. I’m waiting for a special occasion to open it, perhaps my 70th birthday.

The venue easily accommodated our crew of 25 people. The kitchen did a great job with the snacks we pre-ordered---the mac 'n cheese in particular was an absolute hit with the group.

They reserved a beautiful section of the brewery for our group of 25 and graciously allowed us to bring in a cake to complete the celebration.

My favorite brewery in Ballard! The taproom is beautiful, warm, and cozy, with a well-curated vibe. Despite its size, it offers a variety of spaces—perfect for date nights, hanging out with friends or family, or enjoying a book with a cold beer on a cloudy day. The outdoor area is also great, with heat lamps & cover to keep things comfortable year-round. Dogs are allowed outside now too which is a plus!
The beer stands out from the crowd—always something new and unique beyond the usual IPAs. The brewers aren't afraid to experiment with bold ingredients, often with excellent results.
What truly sets this place apart is the food. They have a full chef’s kitchen cooking in-house, offering upscale dishes at great prices. It blows most food trucks away and rivals many top restaurants nearby. My favorites? The jojos(cooked with fresh potato), mussels, and kale salad with smoked salmon—so good.
If only they had a jazz or trivia night!

The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and what really stood out was how family-friendly the space is. It's not always easy to find a place where you can bring the little ones while still enjoying great craft beer, but Fair Isle nails it. There was plenty of space for the kids to hang out while the adults caught up, and everyone felt right at home.
The beer selection is outstanding! They have a unique variety of brews that really showcases their creativity. Whether you're a fan of classic styles or looking for something a bit more experimental, there’s something for everyone. The staff was also incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations and making sure we found something we all loved.
Fair Isle is definitely going to be a go-to spot for future meetups. It's the perfect mix of a great selection of beers, a friendly atmosphere, and a space that welcomes both adults and kids. If you're looking for a brewery where you can relax with friends and family, Fair Isle is a must-visit!

Less than 300 feet from Lucky Envelope and a cider house, walked in and was met by two grade A bartenders. Went with their house lager which was as advertised. Tasted a little bitter, but enjoyable none the less. They have 12 oz pours which was perfect for my little afternoon brewery crawl.
The bar is big, plenty of seating, one of the great ones to start your Ballard Brewery crawl.

Kerri and team absolutely crushed it!! Our wedding welcome drinks venue canceled on us last minute and we had 5 business days to find a new spot. Kerri immediately reached out to help find something in our price range and delivered on every level. Her team went above and beyond, wearing bolo ties to match the groomsmen, helping cut a birthday cake we had brought for some guests, setting aside a parking spot for our food truck, AND they gave us a gift in the end to boot! The attention to detail was so appreciated. In the end, it all worked out as I'd consider this an upgrade from our original venue. The vibes / aesthetic were awesome and the beer was delicious. Will definitely be coming back.
