Heard a lot of buzz about this place and especially the burger. Probably too much buzz. It was good, but hard to figure out why everyone is going crazy for it. It's definitely not worth a 2 hour wait (most places aren't) so just try again if you get there at a busy time.

The Corn soup was amazing, as was the Seafood Tostada. Actually all the food was very good. However the portions were snack size. Keep an eye on the bill though. We were a table of 4 and they charged us with a 25% gratuity for a large party. It wasn't mentioned on the menu and the waiter never said anything. It wasn't until I questioned why the bill was so high that he told us. Them being shifty with us put a bit of a damper on a great meal.

Fantastic meal! Burger and corn soup were out of this world. Nicest staff ever. Will absolutely go back!

A well deserved 5/5 stars. Excellent service, great food, ambiance and music are a 10/10. It's a hidden gem, will definitely go back. I recommend the adobo tacos + the seafood tostada (10/10).

We tried getting a table on a Saturday, and the wait was over 2.5 hours. Tried again on a Wednesday, and still waited 2 hours. It was worth the wait. Recommend hitting Coupe & Flute a couple blocks down for a champagne flight. With the old school hip hop blaring and ambiant lighting, it feels as if you're invited to hangout with your older brother and his cool friends. Except this time they're cooking up some of the best plates in Seattle. The wine list was impressive, they have Chenin Blancs heading South from France to South Africa. Cocktails in Corona bottles. Tropical notes blended to foreshadow what was to come. Boy did it come. A consonance of staples with Guamanian twists, the kind that leave your plate clean and has you asking for seconds. Words don't do this place justice. But trust me, there's a reason folks are lining up the block.

We heard that the way to get a table at Familyfriend was to go right at opening. We showed up 15 minutes early and joined the line. Felt lucky to be seated at the bar. Elmer was amazing! Drinks were great, and the hospitality was even better. Food came quickly and was delicious; tacos had the best adobo I've ever tasted. We also thought the burger was outstanding with great texture, incredible juiciness and just the right amount of sweet onion. Next time, I'll try the corn soup.

Damn, this speak-easy style restaurant serves some incredible food. Flavors are out-standing. Corn soup is worth ordering twice.Cool vibe, too with amazing cocktails.Only reason this is a 4* not 5* is the prices are quite steep - while food was amazing value for money would be a tad lower.

I heard FamilyFriend has the best burger in town, and can attest - it's the best! The corn soup and seafood tostada were also delicious & cocktails creative and tasty. Will definitely be back. The banana bread for desert was the bomb. The donuts were pretty good, although a little doughy for my liking.

Elmer and his crew are absolutely crushing it at familyfriend! Everything was so spot on, the burger was insane and the corn soup and seafood tostada were so full of flavor. We love our new neighborhood spot!

Delicious food and friendly staff. I really appreciated the excellent food without the stuffy dining experience. Competitive prices, no complaints to give. Doesn't seem like they take reservations, we walked in and had about a 20 minute wait. We ordered the burger, seafood tostada, tofu rice bowl, and corn soup. The corn soup is a must try. Can't wait to go back and try other things from the menu.

3.5 stars, but rounded up. I came here with a group of 5 so we tried pretty much every cocktail and a good selection of the item on the menu. Nothing blew our minds. Cocktails came out pretty, and I enjoyed their take on the old fashioned. The other cocktails were average at best. My favorite was the eggplant rice dish and the bulgogi bowl. I ordered a burger without pickles and they brought out one with pickles. The server realized the mistake and asked if we wanted another, so we said yes. We were charged for both. Not a big deal, but the burger was so overhyped that I felt like it was nothing special. The fries were good though! Seafood tostada was decent. I wish the donut hole dessert was a little less doughy and more fluffy. We loved the sauce it came with...suggestion - maybe it should be added into a cocktail. Overall, decent, but overhyped.

Family friend is amazing. I think it will quickly rise to the top of the Seattle culinary scene because its quality more aligned with sf and nyc. Every dish I tried was knock out. The corn soup, the burger, the bulgogi. Seriously the flavors were incredible. I didn't try the soup because it seemed a bit out there for me with the organ meat. But I'm sure if you like that type of thing it's good. The drinks were good but not amazing. My only critique would be to maybe take a page out of pho bac's book and get some really unique and cool cocktails. These ones could have been elevated a bit more but they were not bad. The service was amazing. Wait staff is friendly and extremely knowledgable about food. They are doing something cool and unique with the place and it's great. If you don't get it... you maybe aren't the foodie you think you are :)

Good food, but the service needs to improve. The waiter would hardly come to you.
