If you're seeking an authentic dive bar experience near the college campus, look no further than Finn MacCools. Here's why you should belly up at Finn MacCools: For Guinness lovers, Finn MacCools is a haven. The taps flow with the dark elixir, and the pints are poured with care. Whether you're nursing a pint solo or clinking glasses with friends, the Guinness here is as authentic as it gets. There is always something happening here for events so check out their website to see what is happening. Watch all the UW games here. Don't expect gourmet dishes; Finn MacCools keeps it simple. Sandwiches, fried food, and pints of beer are the order of the day. It's comfort food that pairs perfectly with your pint. We got the quesadilla to share, and it was plenty. They have daily specials and happy hour so it's a great spot for cheap bar food. The service was good too and the employee was extremely nice. We went on a Saturday afternoon, so it wasn't very busy. On game days and events, it's usually packed!

Looking for a place with great food and drinks, where the prices on drinks are unbeatable and the DJ plays fantastic beats? Look no further than this spot! With its lively college atmosphere, it's the perfect spot to hang out with friends. The only downside is that the bathrooms could use a little more attention in terms of cleanliness. But don't let that deter you from enjoying all the other great things this place has to offer!

My friend and I were both drugged at this bar. We luckily made it home because we were in a group, but I promise you some other people weren't as lucky. Cover your drinks and watch your back at this bar! I am extremely disappointed with the security here. Protect yourself and be careful!

Nice little Irish pub near the campus. Clean draft lines, heavy whiskey pours, and great bartenders.

Went on a quiet night for fish 'n' chips and a beer. Food was good, served quickly and hot! Beer was reasonably priced and contrary to some of the other reviews, served in glass, not plastic cups. The place isn't fancy, and yeah, the tables are a little sticky, but I'd pop in again on a quiet night. I'm sure the place is a madhouse when UW is in session, but I went while the school was on winter break and there were only a handful of people at the bar and we were the only ones in the dining area. Service was friendly enough.

this place actively does not want your service, any request will be met with a raised eyebrow and a rude remark. smells like piss and urine all over, and DO NOT ask for food. bartenders will actually foam at the mouth. at least the alcohol is cheap ?

This place was an absolute MESS. The owners are overworking their staff, underpaying them, and have disgusting working and dining conditions. I have no affiliation with this place whatsoever, it was just an embarrassing experience here all around. The police and food and drug administration should investigate them.

Game day for the Apple Cup and Earl's was too-blocked with fans of both teams, so we went looking for an alternative for a pre-game funk. We were headed for the College Inn, however, as we passed Maccool's we checked it out for capacity and found it had plenty. We were served the worst Bloody Marys that I've ever tried to drink. The breakfast sandwiches were better and the service was pretty good. This is an Irish Bar...by name only. No Smithwick's beer and no Guinness glasses. Weak Sauce I would say. We should have gone to the College Inn.
