Absolutely love FOB. It’s like the Chipotle of poke. So many options and ingredients to add. Great portions and delicious. Love going here for a treat yourself day.

No place serving raw fish should smell that way. Like decay. This place used to be my favorite, but I only did takeout. Went for a walk to visit and was hit with such a smell of rot and bleach that I lost my appetite and found a new restaurant. Woof!

Tried the Cap Hill location recently. Parking isn’t great since it’s all street parking, but the poké is good and I was craving poké. The place is usually clean and service is typically fast. The staff is generally friendly, though tonight I felt a little rushed even though we came in around 7pm and they close at 8:30pm…not a huge deal, just something I noticed. Overall, I’d still recommend it.

Stopped by FOB Poke Bar in Capitol Hill on a Saturday night to grab dinner. It wasn’t very busy, but there was a steady flow of people coming in and out. The store was clean, and all the poke toppings were well stocked and looked fresh.
The staff were quick and efficient — maybe a little too quick. I felt somewhat rushed placing my order, even when no one else was waiting in the shop. I was also given some misinformation about which proteins I could choose from, so I ended up thinking I was limited to only three options. I’ll chalk that up to a misunderstanding and know better for next time.
Overall, the food quality and cleanliness were good, and it’s a convenient spot for poke in the neighborhood. With a little more clarity and a less rushed ordering experience, it would be even better!

Ordered a regular bowl of salad today, but found a lot of spoiled lettuce that I had to pick out. Very disappointed!
Ordered a large bowel and the dude at the counter gave me three, tiny half-scoops of fish. Very disappointed and will not return.
good salad bowl!
healthy & Tasty ◎
I love poke, but this was the worst bowl I've had in a very long time. Everything was bland, service was very bland as well. I can handle my wasabi, but this wasabi aoli ruined my experience, way too much wasabi. Then ontop of that there were so many sinews in my tuna, it was just nasty. All that combined with blandness has actually put me off poke bowls for a while. Something I eat a few times a month smh.
Visiting from Hawaii and this poke is fresh and delicious with a great selection of toppings! Friendly service too.

Area outside may feel a bit unsafe at certain times, but price and food has been spectacular, as well as customer service. The staff are wonderful.

Food was pretty good, but the server was rude and kept pushing me to the next section before I was finished choosing. She was very accommodating to other guests though and even asked if they wanted extras so I’m not sure what was up.

Yummy poke place with a large selection of toppings. I have tried several poke places and this one is in my top 3. They have a bunch of base options from 3 different rices, veggie based, or even quinoa and couscous (which I got). They also have fob sauce which is so yummy. I love their toppings especially the spicy crab salad. Their pricing is also really good I paid only 17 for a two protein bowl. I definitely recommend stopping in for take out or dine in if you’re in the area.

I don’t normally leave reviews but this experience was kind of bizarre.
I picked up my order through door dash. The staff hardly talked to me, but whatever they’re just doing their job. I get it.
The inside of the store was strange, no furniture and it was completely dead. The worker who didn’t say hardly anything did not help this.
The food was the weirdest part. There was hardly any sauce, and the portions for the add ons was crazy. I had to scrape some off into the trash because i got a never ending glob of seaweed salad.
The sides weren’t place in any sort of cohesive order either, just all jumbled and mixed together.
Lastly, why do poke places like this put the furikake on top of the fish? Furikake goes on the rice. If you know you know.
