Deli format. Order pay sit and eat. Seems like a decent neighborhood deli. Good sandwich but the bread was toasted tough and dry beyond my preference. Not sure if they would take requests but hard for me to enjoy a sandwich if the bread doesn't supplement to the rest of the sandwich. I've had good Italian sandwiches in LA, LV, and NYC and unfortunately the bread kind of killed the experience for me at Fortuna. I might give it another shot someday.

Very tasty. Definitely the best bread!
It was great, Kirin was awesome. Sandwiches are big, so I’d say you’re getting what you pay for. I love the minimalist, quality ingredient approach.

The Caprese was so crisp and fresh. The sandwich was ready in five minutes at their dinner time opening.
Delicious.

The sandwich was good, I think it just didn’t quite live up to my expectations. I got the Bambino and I felt that all the ingredients were really high quality-olive oil on bread was so good- but overall it came together in an
underwhelming way for me. Perhaps I should’ve gotten the balsamic, but when I went back to get some the line was too long to justify :( still good though, I would come back and try again with sauce!

Amazing sandwiches with high-end cured meats, high quality ingredients, tasty bread and fast service. Will come back soon for sure. The wine options were also nice but pricey.

Finally, came by to try out the sandwich at Fortuna Bollega and it wasn't that busy as I've seen it in the past.
I ordered the Bambino with some arrugla and garlic balsamic, coke and chips and after tip, taxes and such I ran a $18.50 sandwich up to be $39.80 reminding me of going to the Metropolitan Grill.
Fortuna Bollega has an indoor counter and then what looks like a garage out back is some picnic tables. I hung out in the picnic area as the indoor area was packed.
I know Seattle is getting pricey, but I'm going to be more careful with my order next time as around $30 seems the minimum for lunch now round town. The sandwich is quite large and filling and I ended up taking 1/2 of it home with me.

I got the Bambino and it was solid, but much too cheese-heavy for my liking, and that dominated the flavor and texture of the sandwich. The bread was great, by far the best part, and the meat portion/quality was fair enough for a $20 sandwich. The balsamic went okay with it but would probably work better on a sandwich with more going on. The chili relish probably would have worked better in my case.
They may offer other sandwiches I’d like more, but $20+ (plus extra for sauce) certainly limits how much I’m willing to come back. If the price is cool with you, you’ll probably enjoy Fortuna. Personally, I have had cheaper sandwiches in Seattle that I have also enjoyed more.
