Had a special meatball sandwich and the gran sasso, absolutely delicious in every way. 100% will be back
Some contstructive feedback, If I could make a suggestion it would be to make the meatball a staple on the menu, probably some of the best meatballs I've ever had. But maybe think about using some sort of bright marinara sauce on the sandwich to dull the richness of the meatballs.
All the people working there were amazing and so nice. New favorite spot. Thank you!

Best sandwich I have eaten I a long time. Food came out fast and hot. Great atmosphere, wonderful staff and overall great vibe. The food was filling fresh and reasonably priced. If you are in the area I would highly recommend you pop in for a sandwich!

Really great sandwiches. Only downside is twice I’ve ordered one of their side sauces and both times they forgot to include it in the bag. I caught it the first time, but not the second time.
Yes it's a little pricey...but it is really good!

This spot is such a needed addition to the Seattle food scene! A real Italian sandwich shop with incredible bread and quality ingredients. The bread is exactly what you’d find in Italy, not too heavy but still filling. You leave satisfied, not in a food coma. The owner’s a great guy, and the meat portions are generous. Can’t wait to bring more friends here over time!

As neighbors down the street at Sip and Ship Greenwood, we’ve had the joy of watching Fortuna pour their hearts, expertise, and creativity into crafting authentic Italian sandwiches. Their menu reflects years of experience—traveling throughout Italy, honing their skills as chefs, and now bringing that same care and quality to our community.
It’s been inspiring to see their evolution and well-deserved success. The Sip and Ship team had the honor of tasting their sandwiches early on and we’ve been devoted customers ever since.
If there were more than five stars to give, we’d gladly do it. Fortuna serves the best sandwiches in Seattle—and trust us, they’re worth the wait (the line moves quickly!).

Lucked out and showed up when the line was short (benefit of a rainy day?). Ordered the Bottega and Chicken Parm special. The Bottega was superb!

So this is a great sandwich, no doubt about it, but it is way too expensive to be a place you come back to often. I spent ~$50 on two sandwiches, that’s insane. Even if it’s good I can’t be doing that often.

I won't comment on the prices because obviously there are people in Seattle who can easily afford $25 for a cold sandwich for lunch. I imagine it's a tough business model when you're only open 12 hours a week.
The place is vibrant and fun with great energy. Service is friendly and fast.
I just wish the sandwiches were better. The bread is great, but they are just really not balanced. There is too little filling and way too much of whatever the spread is. The bambino was just a mouth full of soft cheese. The fortuna was all gorgonzola. And the gran sasso tasted of pesto and nothing else.
No regrets about trying it once, but I won't be back.

Absolutely wonderful! All the things a great Italian sandwich shop can be. Super fresh, super friendly and lively atmosphere. They were handing out free samples of their fresh baked bread as well.

Maybe my hopes were too high, I was hoping for something like All'antico Vinaio, which started in Italy but has been opening locations in the USA, but the sandwich from Fortuna ended up overly salty, and the ingredients didn’t quite come together the way I expected. It felt a bit unbalanced. In Seattle, I prefer Hushy's for schiacciata, but I’ll definitely give Fortuna another try in the future.

What we got: fortuna and bottega sandwiches
The good: The bread was delicious. Service was quick and very friendly.
The less good: The price. It's clear the ingredients are high quality but it's still a little spendy. Although, $20 is pretty typical for a sandwich in Seattle nowadays.
Overall, I wasn't the biggest fan of the sandwiches. They were a little oily for me and the flavors weren't quite up my alley. It's clear a lot of people love these sandwiches so these just might not be to my taste. I probably won't be a repeat customer but if someone is looking for a little taste of Italy (Florence especially), I'd guide them to Fortuna.
