Honey for president! We came here on our anniversary and Honey did the most to make it special for us š. Service was exceptional, the cocktails were delicious, and the speak easy is beautiful we were obsessed with the decor. Weāll definitely be coming back regularly :). The hostess was very kind, we didnāt have reservations and she was upfront that it would be a 3hr wait. We had a room so we didnāt mind, but once we were sat (on a very uncomfortable couch) is when things started to get disappointing. Iāll preface that I overheard someone say they were short a server, but the service was VERY slow. We were sat at 9pm, got drinks and dessert at 9:45, and closed out at 10:20. We werenāt able to order more food because the kitchen closed at 10pm, which was a huge bummer, and we couldnāt sit long because there were reservations that needed our table at 10:15.
If we had been able to relax and order more food, I could see why this place would be 5 stars, but unfortunately that wasnāt our experience.

B and I are doing this exercise from the book Eight Dates. The idea is to go on 8 dates where you talk about specific topics that are important to couples. Needless to say, you need a place where you are comfortable having intimate conversations. Earlier in the year, we went for a walk in unpopular parks, but it is the rainy season in Seattle, so we had to find a place with a roof. A Google search turned up the Founder Club at the Fairmont hotel downtown. I looked at the menu, sold some of my retirement bonds and made a reservation. Parking was like any parking downtown. The Fairmont has valet parking, but I was not into that. Instead, I parked myself in the garage behind the hotel. We walked the short distance to the back door of the hotel and went in. There is nothing to tell you where the Founderās Club is. That is part of the charm - it is supposed to be reminiscent of a speak-easy. After a moment of wondering what to do, we decided to ask at the bar. Breaking into the staffās chat took some effort, but once we got someoneās attention, we quickly found out that if we stood in a certain location, a hostess would find us. No passwords needed. Sure enough, after waiting at the designated spot, a woman took my name and opened a secret door disguised as a bookshelf. Inside was a small bar and a few little tables. The hostess led us to one that she thought would give us the privacy we required. We looked over the menu, asked the waitress a few questions and then ordered $50 worth of drinks. There is food on some days, but not while we were there. I was really looking forward to seeing what a $30 slider tasted like. We were left alone for our conversation for the next hour or so. I wonāt review what we said, but suffice it to say that we learned about each other. I paid the bill and found out that I should have used the valet parking. That is the only way to get your parking validated. Live and learn.

Was not TikTok worthy due to the lack of excitement of being a hidden space.Door was consistently open. Lacked the hidden feel in plain site. The cozy atmosphere once inside was lackluster due to uncomfortable seating. Felt like we were in a coat closet of a normal hotel bar drinking high priced cocktails. Endlessly over hyped as a must go to speakeasy in Seattle.

I spent my birthday evening at the Founders Club and I just want to give a shout out to Honey my host. I came alone for my birthday evening and she made it absolutely perfect, she provided impeccable and very personable service despite being busy. She even took the time to take gorgeous pictures of me when I asked for her help. In addition to that, my drinks were all perfect made by Hideki. I absolutely enjoyed everyone here and had a great time. The ambience adds so much pizzaz to the entire experience. Thanks everyone

They do very bad planning with their seats. We were the first ones in the line who reached there at 4:45 and the host told us at 4:58 that they are fully booked and the wait is 1.5 hours for walk-ins and put us on wait list. Of course we didnāt want to just hang around there and wait that long so we went to a nearby bar to kill time . And guess what, as soon as we sit at this bar, we get a message saying our table at Founders Club is ready! Such poor table planning on their part and looks like they donāt keep aside any seats for walk in. We were the first ones in line and were there right when they opened, but that didnāt help. So either you go there with reservation or not go at all!
