Wonderful community cafe thats tucked away in a charming little corner of Eastlake.

5 stars because they are putting in the hard work. Locally owned, locally operated, and community focused. They put in the effort to bring people together with fun little events AND by being a coffee shop that stays open long enough to enjoy a comfy happy hour on their outside seating.

What they do well: Community.

What they struggle with (Sometimes): Espresso. I know it seems crazy to give 5 stars and then be critical of their espresso. But its just the way it is. I believe they use Lighthouse Roasters (local to seattle) and I don't know if its the roast, the beans, or the machine. But the espresso can be subpar on occasion.

But still worth the visit.

Great little new local spot for good coffee and nice quick bite options. I'm a big fan of meat pies, and I so rarely find them in the States, so I'm stoked they have Aussie meat pies here. Friendly staff and cute decor.

I’m sure this place is great for coffee, but the matcha was so bad. Basically sweet milk with a faint taste of matcha. I was so disappointed because the photos from other reviews looked so good. Barista was super nice, but not a good spot if you’re looking for matcha 😔

FRAM is a newish cafe in Eastlake. It is a bit off the beaten path as it is located in a nook size space of a modern apartment building, a block down from Eastlake Avenue East which is the main road in the area. It seems more of a spot that appeals more to residents that live nearby. There is heavy road construction in Eastlake, which makes it it challenging to reach the cafe. Walking down the steps at Fairview Park and reaching the cafe by walking on Fairview Avenue East would be my recommended route if you are coming from outside the area.

The cafe offers coffee, beer, wine, froze and grab & go food items. It also has a happy hour from 3-5 pm daily. Stopped by one morning for a latte and a pastry. The coffee prices were reasonable and they have Seawolf Bakery pastries here. Service was friendly and I was in and out in good time despite the morning rush.

There is limited seating in the cafe, with a couple tables and bar seating. There is some additional seating outside the cafe which is great for the summer when the weather is good. You could also head over to nearby Fairview Park which has a great view of Lake Union.

Couldn't ask for a better coffee shop in the city. Inexpensive high-quality coffee, kind people, and nice cozy spot..

Came here for lunch and enjoyed an amazing meat pie, along with a London Fog tea, that was also fantastic.
There isn't a ton of seating inside, but there are some chairs outside for when the weather cooperates. We quite enjoyed the experience. I highly recommend this place.

Very cozy coffee shop with very reasonable prices and good coffee. I got the caramel latte and it was really good. There’s not a lot of seating (counted 10 chairs to sit down inside) so not the best for groups but it wasn’t too busy either.

Good gawd I adore this place! The coffee is amazing and at a very fair price for Seattle. The menu is varied so it’s suitable for all day work, walk stops, small gatherings, etc. Every barista I’ve met is lovely. I do wish they stocked more pastries in the morning so that they lasted longer, but nbd. Today when I stopped through the barista and a variety of community members were all hanging out watching an old movie on the tv. I stayed for a half hour to watch with them- this is just such a unique, special spot that really feels by the community, for the community. Every neighborhood needs a FRAM. Keep doing what you’re doing.

A cozy little spot in Scandinavian style — an original designer project with its own philosophy and story (no spoilers, you’ll have to discover it yourself). Despite being small, it feels incredibly comfortable, with a friendly atmosphere and genuinely nice people among the visitors. The bartender/vendor is always warm and talkative, no matter the shift. You can sit inside or settle outside in a wooden chair, sipping a beer or coffee while watching a beautiful sunset over Lake Union. There’s a small parking lot, so you’ll definitely find the place — the bar is on the first floor, right on the corner.

As for the food, the menu isn’t huge — more like light bites and snacks, sandwiches, and similar stuff. You can also grab anything to go (drinks included). They’ve got good beer and delicious coffee to take away. Often, the lovely coffee aroma drifts down the street, drawing you into Fram ☺️ Highly recommend this place.

FRAM Is the perfect neighborhood third place. I love swinging by here on my little walks around the neighborhood to pick up a tea or if I'm feeling cheeky a frose. The staff is always very friendly and I usually run into neighbors here. It's a compact homie where one can write a novel or catch up with friends.
