Delicious vegan and gluten-free ice cream, plus waffle cones! Find ice cream that's both gluten-free and dairy-free is enough of a challenge, that I had given up on ever having an ice cream "cone" again. This was a real treat! I tasted several flavors and they were all delicious. The staff was also very helpful in looking up other ingredients to consider for any allergies. Instead of getting a full scoop, I decided to split one between two seasonal flavors: Carrot Cake and For the Love of Lemon. Both were wonderful! My spouse ordered a full scoop of Jamocha Chaga Fudge. He was amazed and kept asking, "How did they make it so creamy?" The plant-based ice cream truly is "Plant Magic!" We will be back!

On a lovely high 50S and sunny Sunday, I decided to try a new ice cream place. Frankie & Jo's was highly rated, and I was excited to see how good their vegan ice cream is! The shop itself was very cute, and there were a few families in there eating and enjoying their ice cream. The person working was very efficient and friendly, and they quickly took my order. Many Of the flavors sounded great, but I have an affinity for anything with activated charcoal, and I do love a salted caramel flavor, so I opted for that flavor and in a waffle cone. I got a mini scoop and all together the item cost slightly more than $10, which seems typical for Seattle ice cream. The ice cream tasted great! It did seem quite coconut forward, but the caramel taste was quite good. The ice cream itself was as creamy as expected and I personally would not have assumed it was vegan. I'll definitely be back to try some other flavors!

really friendly service; the person working the counter helped us pick flavors and answer any questions. the ice cream is really good — don’t expect it to taste like dairy ice cream; it has a subtle coconut flavor but is still very rich and delicious. they also have a lot of unique flavors and all of them are packed with addins :)

This place is a dream come true for those of us that can't consume dairy. I just happened to be walking by, did a double take and walked in. I had a scoop of brown sugar vanilla and it was excellent. This place is cash only so bring a card or use Apple Pay. The person working there was really nice. I'll definite be back.

The best vegan ice cream, I’ve ever had.Pro-tips:1. pair simpler flavors with moon goo.2. always add cone shatter to your ice cream.

Sent this as a rec to a friend visiting Seattle and realized I hadn’t left a review. This place is soooo delicious!

A vegan's dessert dream. Every flavor is amazing. Definitely a little more expensive than buying a paint at the grocery store but a million times better.

Not your typical ice cream shop but that's all part of the experience. They offer monthly flavors that are always unique like Beet Strawberry or Guava Cake. The interior aesthetic is picture worthy in itself but be prepared, you might have to try a few before ordering.

Delicious! If your previous forays into vegan ice cream have been less than successful (perhaps they all tasted uncannily like the blue frosting on a carvel ice cream cake, or perhaps your sister didn’t like the flavor and gave it to the chickens, only to return later and see to her great surprise that it still hadn’t melted and the chickens hadn’t touched it) then frankie & jo’s will leave you delighted and mystified. How is their ice cream so good? Enigmatic ingredients like “adaptogens” and “activated charcoal” may confound you, but the shop is very generous with free samples and you will quickly find a favorite flavor. This is ice cream that will make your skeptical dad say “I can tell it tastes different but I wouldn’t have guessed it’s vegan” (high praise). This is ice cream that will make your ice cream loving friend (who has already tried over 14 different flavors from nearby shops that afternoon) say “well I’d like to try it for the novelty” and then declare it to be her favorite of the day. This is ice cream that will tempt you to take a pint home despite the fact that it will inevitably melt during the long wait for a ferry that you begin to fear will never arrive...5 stars! All flavors are lovely, but I recommend california cabin and supercookies & cream with cone shatter.

I came here with my coworkers. A mini came out to be $6 plus tax. A bit pricey for a mini scoop. It's more of a treat than a normal occurrence. I sampled the pickled blueberry, their seasonal flavor, which was really interesting but I didn't want a whole scoop of it. I ended up getting the chocolate tahini which was rich and creamy without being overly sweet. While I could tell it wasn't traditional ice cream made with dairy, the vegan ice cream was very close to it. Definitely hits the spot! The inside is cute, clean with a modern design. There's limited seating so not great for big groups.

Delicious vegan ice cream shop in Seattle! Was here for vacation and our friend took us to one of their favorites! Their flavors are so unique and I was lucky that the worker happily gave me so many samples to try. I ended up choosing the Salty Caramel Ash but the Brown Sugar Vanilla was a close runner up. I will say that it is a little pricey considering it is $8 for a small sized single scoop, so if I lived here I probably wouldn't frequent the shop too often, but still enjoyed it nonetheless.
