I am on a tight budget but since I've given up eating meat, I am always looking for some delicious seafood. I stopped by several months ago to check out their crab cakes (have had in the past) but after covid and crab harvest scarcities the price was over my budget. Instead they recommended their shrimp or fish cakes. I tried the shrimp cakes and now have them several times a week. They freeze well so it's super convenient. Recently they recommended their new halibut cakes and now I am an avid fan of both the shrimp and halibut cakes. Both are delicious and affordable. They are big so a half a cake is a perfect serving for me. Now I am a weekly regular. So happy!

Wow I remember this place used to have fresh fish really nice setup when do this place about a week ago and I would say more than half the fish on display was not fresh crab cakes are huge huge outstanding prices. and they don't even have business to sell them so they keep them in the freezer too for the same price $26.99 or $29.99 each. Was really disa pointed in quality in case and produce. Rotten potatoes and more.

Been curious about this place since we ran across it a couple of years ago visiting in the area and stopping at Larsen's Bakery (a whole other incredible place). We got the chance while staying at an Air BnB a few blocks away. We spent the morning at the Ballard Farmer's market and picked up a bunch of fresh veggies for dinner and rather than buy salmon from one of the vendors there, stopped by Fresh Fish.
Super friendly staff helped us out and we picked up a nice chunk of wild-caught Sockeye. I prepared it with a sauce of teriyaki, sauteed onions and fresh-picked plums and it was incredible.
Easily the best and freshest cut of fish I've ever had.

Great local fish market between Ballard & Crown Hill. Limited varieties of fresh fish, shrimp, oysters. But all look extremely fresh and modestly priced. Yesterday, they had incredible Barron Point Oysters for about $12 a dozen. They were quite large with loads of oyster liquor; very mild briny flavor with firm meat. They also had a special on Alaska side striped shrimp in the shell with the heads on. I will saute them in oil & sprinkle some lemon Old Bay on them while cooking. They are supposed to be quite sweet. They also have fresh herring in sour cream & all kinds of smoked salmon, black cod, trout, & smelt. There are fresh sausages, seafood salad, frozen shell fish & crab as well as fresh produce. You never have to worry about the quality of their products.

These folks know their stuff, have great products, and a serviceable wine and produce selection if you've only got time to stop at one place.

We just wanted to buy a small amount of pickled herring in sour cream and they were kind enough to give us a sample!

Great quality and friendly service. I always love to take home the fresh crab to my family in Idaho. It’s a treat for them! And the smoked fish can’t be beat.
