Light, airy, minimalist aesthetic cafe with decent seating (7+ tables), including 2 corner booths by the windows! Coffee was ok; about $1 - 2+/drink more expensive than other Seattle cafes. They have a staff-curated book selection on the walls, along with a few notebooks, stickers, water bottles and other small items for sale. They also had 2 very clean bathrooms with diaper changing tables, which is always appreciated.

Appears to be a popular choice for ppl working remotely or friends stopping by for a quick chat. The space and table to table distance is quite narrow, so I wouldn't recommend it as kid friendly (though they had some children's books). Even some moms sat outside on the outdoor patio as there was more space for the prams / strollers. Better as a pickup to go place.

Reliable purveyor of caffeine. Friendly and quick service. Wish they had a better selection of bites, but it is what it is. The Kyotobot Iced Coffee is awesome and so are their seasonal lattes.

Good coffee, awesome seasonal drinks, chill vibe. But it's sister shop Aida's, is all of this with an outstanding vegetarian kitchen and only a few minutes walk away.

Kid-friendliness: It's chill and spacious, so kids are cool. They also have children's books. But it isn't really a play friendly space, so an energetic little will probably cause annoyance.

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, though the counter setup isn't the most friendly

Incredibly rude barista, terrible experience. The barista with the pink hair was very rude and condescending and unhelpful.

Maybe reconsider being in service work if you don’t like to interact with people. Came in for the seasonal latte, they were out of nonfat and 2% milk - I opted for almond. The speciality latte came out over $8 for an 8 oz, and I wanted it iced, in which she scoffed and said they do 12oz min for the iced drinks. I said that I didn’t want to pay more for a 12oz and I wanted to switch to an iced Americano 12oz, in which she said “I don’t make the prices” to me. Wow, how rude (I know she doesn’t make the prices) - anyway, I won’t be coming back - head to a nearby cafe instead like Volunteer Cafe a few blocks away.

Btw I’ve lived around this neighborhood for 10 years previously, there are plenty of small overpriced cafes you can support in Seattle and around Cap Hill.

Met with a friend living around the neighborhood this Sunday. Coffee is good but a bit overpriced (3 star). 1 star for the rude barista wearing her headphone all the time not giving a damn to their customers. You at least get a welcome smile from Starbucks.

It used to be my favourite spot for almost 20 years.
In the meanwhile, too expensive and coffee is not made with love.

Very inconsistent espresso drinks and truly awful breakfast tacos

I really enjoyed the seasonal Moira latte which was pistachio and rose, it tasted almondy and was delicious. There’s also one vegan breakfast sandwich option which is always great to see, although I did not get a chance to try it.

Overpriced for mediocre coffee. My fiancé and I ordered their seasonal lemon latte that they describe to taste like a lemon pound cake. It didn’t even taste like lemon. The coffee was so bitter and tasted more like prunes than anything. The customer service was trash. When we asked if we could get a different drink because we weren’t happy with that one we were told we would have to pay for the new drink entirely. Never had that happen at other coffee shops. The female barista working yesterday was very short with us and rude.

One of my favorite local coffee shop chains. They change their menu seasonally and a lot of their lattes are quite unique. I recently tried their Uncrustable Latte ($7.33 after tax as of June 2023), which combines the flavors of peanut butter and jelly. It was very delicious and def tasted like a PB&J sandwich in a cup. I also tried a Coco Kyoto ($7.23 after tax ) which unfortunately did not have any coconut flavor.

Got a 16oz mocha with raspberry and oat milk. Tasted like steamed oatmilk. Couldn't really taste the mocha let alone raspberry or espresso. She offered to taste it before I left to see if it was enough raspberry but it was freshly made and hot af obviously. I tasted it when I sat down to do my midterm about 20 minutes later. But I was willing to be forgiving on the raspberry. The drink was made with the regular amount of mocha though, allegedly. Nearly $10 is a little wild for the drink to not be at least good. The place got good reviews so I'm not sure what happened. This drink is far better at Anthem in Puyallup where I normally go. Tacoma one is bad, don't go there.
