Service might be a little bit slow, but the food is worth it.

Over cooked both my burger and my buddies burger. Grill guy needs to work on his timing and let the meat rest. Otherwise its a nice enough place and the staff were attentive. Medium rare/ medium shouldn't be medium well, just ends up being a dry burger.

Go there during the day if you want a peaceful meal, during dinnertime the staff is too busy and its really loud. But the amazing food and good cocktails more than make up for it. Duck confit is legendary. One of my favorite places in Seattle!

We loved Gainsbourg. We had the Brussels sprouts, duck confit, and beef bourguignon and enjoyed everything. Especially on a rainy evening, we liked the artsy, dark, and buzzing vibe with the open kitchen and bar. Felt almost speakeasy like. Will definitely return.

Looks OK, but food was not great and staff was rude and petulant at best.

Came for the escargot, wanted to leave bc of Ashley. She treated my friend like the scum of the earth. As service industry workers we are very empathetic for her but nobody deserves to be treated like that.

Good food great atmosphere.
Rough customer service from the person helping us yesterday evening. The greeting we received and how we were prompted to give our order was basically this person walking over to our table and shrugging at us without saying anything. We ordered drinks and soups which both came out in decent time but was not shrugged at again or asked for our entree and second drink order until about an hour after getting the soup. So we finally order our entrees after being seated for over an hour. We proceeded to wait well over a half hour for our entrees, almost to the point we were going to tell them to forget it. Minutes later the food finally arrived. My steak frites were not even the slightest bit warm though my partner’s duck confit was steaming. Such a frustrating experience. We were at this restaurant for 2.5 hours mostly just waiting. I was hoping to find an email to let management know of our experience but couldn’t find anywhere to email or send a message so it will have to be a review for now.

Eaten there 3 times now, each meal consistently great. Only issue is that they're a French restaurant with the worst escargot I've tasted. Strange. What it lacks in snails, it makes up for in duck. Truly a phenomenal place to eat. They consistently knock it out of the park.

I love this spot!! It's one of very few places in Seattle that has great food and cocktails without being pretensious or overpriced. It's cozy, has great atmosphere and is one of the only spots where you can get good French food that's also cheap! Go on Thursday for half-off absinthe.

Had the duck breast and the burger and the chocolate mousse
Server was kind enough to inform me both came with fries and subbed one for salad.
Duck breast was delicious, I felt the sauce was a tad salty though. The fries were great and the ketchup was some of the best I've ever had. The aioli was good.
The burger was very simple and nice, great bread great meat and confit onions. The side salad was delicious and had nice thin slices of strawberry that complemented perfectly.
The mousse had the same strawberries, nice cream and the mousse itself was nicely textured and flavored.

Wow! I have lived around here for 35 years, and never came here for a meal.
I thought it would be a very upscale, cloth napkin, French restaurant.
This, it is not, which to me is a good thing.
The atmosphere is bar/Bistro, and there is a nice selection of cocktail offerings, tap beers, etc. I like the open kitchen. I had the French Dip sandwich, with poutine, shared sauted mushrooms.
Best French dip I’ve ever had. The menu options are super interesting.. and their house burger I’m told is EXCELLENT. It also goes for 7$ on 3-6 pm Happy hour, M-F.
Oh, and all the entres are approx $13-15. Wonderful!
Whoever is calling the shots in the kitchen is a winner!!
