I placed a takeout order for my boyfriend to pick up since he was in the area, and he mentioned that the person who helped him seemed annoyed that he arrived 5 minutes early. The pickup time was 25 minutes out from when I placed the order, which ended up not being ready until 15 minutes past the pickup time. Although I still look forward to trying the food I ordered from Gan Bei, I feel horrible that my boyfriend had a poor experience when he was just trying to do something nice for me. I do hope this was a one-off experience, and I’ll still consider dining in if the food ends up tasting good.

Hole in the wall, dive bar, delicious food! Hard to find good Chinese in Seattle but this ticked the box for me. We had milk teas, orange chicken and Mongolian beef. All were excellent. Would come back!

Small mom and pop restaurant with wonderful, homestyle Chinese food. The first thing you’ll notice when you step inside is that there are a lot of regulars here. It’s a wonderful and chill community spot, plus they have karaoke every Thursday night.
I recommend these dishes: * Clay pot rice - usually a 20 min wait but so worth it * Chicken and gravy - crispy and delicious * Hong Kong milk tea * Money’s chili crisp - you can also request it on the side with your meal or you can buy a jar! My favorite locally made chili crisp.

The male host was pushy, he was annoyed that we got there at 10:30 and rushed us to order twice. We felt flustered and ordered quickly. The drinks came out immediately and with a side of dead fly. The bartender and server didn't even notice. I immediately called her over and informed her to cancel the order. We would be having dinner there ever

For the last month my roommate/best friend, my girlfriend, and I have been coming to this place for the Sunday Kareoke, less busy than their Thursday Kareoke so me and my bestie can just sing 5-8 songs each and a couple duets. It’s very fun and the people that work there are cool and don’t mind that my group will get silly and rowdy. We playfully call our time there the “lesbian takeover”, and I have joked to others that we are doing our best to make this place a gay bar in the ID. (We need one in every neighborhood)Please tip well when you are there and try a black milk tea with a shot of whiskey.Also, their fries have little chilies on them and they are delightful. Girlfriend says the kimchi bacon fried rice is really yummy. Roommate recommends the orange chicken.
