It is called afterlife btw :) <3 Fantastic drinks, as well! For a bar, you’ll find the best bartenders ever; and they will be the nicest best people. Proper shout-out to Timothy, and Devon; but and nicest people ever! If you want to have a good night/have fun/be with cool people, it will be at AfterLife. The place could never be doubted
Love this place. Love the bar tenders and community. But the place needs better care with safety, and things keep changing without the staff or patrons care in mind. The downstairs door is open for anyone to come in without the bar tenders from someone who has worked in the service industry before this is dangerous for staff and patrons.really disappointing as a regular.I see potential for improvement, but the ways things currently are, it is not good for the workers or people coming in.
I love Gold Bar so much, always a vibe. I do miss the old location, but the new spot still maintains the artsy energy. The drinks are amazing, and Devin at the bar is one of my favorite bartenders in the city. Always warm and welcoming, remembers my drink order like we're old friends. Ugh, love this place, please keep doing what you're doing gold bar! ALSO- Bring back the smash burgers!!!! PLEASE

Really really cool spot. Their greatest crime was getting rid of the kitchen because their burgers were phenomenal.

We had my boyfriend's 30th birthday here and had a wonderful time! The staff was helpful in securing the space we needed, helping set up, and making sure all of us were taken care of. Some of our group ate food, most drank, and we even ordered a round of shooters that were recommended by staff. Everyone was happy with the options there. They helped set up cake and cut cake for us. Overall great birthday, he was very happy and it was a seamless process for me!

TLDR: they're racist towards Asians, do NOT go here. This is tough because I threw a birthday party with Gold Bar when they were located in SLU. I went to one of their opening parties in their new location in Cap Hill, and while smaller, was happy to support their new move and fun cocktails. Their apps used to be great. That being said, I had the WORST experience last night, was treated extremely poorly, and definitely treated worse than my friends who weren't Asian. The space was not packed at all, so when I waited at the tiny bar, I assumed I was next. As I'm about to order, three other people walk up to the bar and bartender said they got there first. Which they definitely did not...I don't know if they were friends with the bartender or not, but should have been my first red flag. I only got 1 drink around 1am, and by 2am sharp, my drink was ripped out of my hand from the staff. I get it's closing time, but a heads up would have been appreciated? Note that this only happened to me, and none of my other friends. Had we received a "10-15 min" warning to finish our drinks, I would have been more prepared and finished up earlier. There are sooo many other ways to indicate closing time, but I have never had a bartender physically grab a drink out of my hand. It may sound dramatic, but it honestly felt super violating, given that our group of 6 were all having a good time just sitting and chatting.Everything was completely abrupt, and in addition to all this, there seemed to be random people outside that weren't even in the bar originally, enforcing that we leave immediately. As we're waiting outside for our car, we were understandably upset, but then we were repeatedly told that we need to walk away from the bar entrance. Our group was not belligerent at all, but they wanted us gone and away from the venue asap.Stay far far away from this place because you will be treated like scum especially if you're Asian. Tons of other awesome bars nearby, don't waste your time in this low class bar.

Very good bar with an outdoor patio and a live DJ on some nights. It has a small bar when you enter and 2 small and cozy seating areas with nice seats where you can relax. The lower level is where there is a DJ on some nights and has a small dance floor. This place is one of the better bars in Capitol Hill I have been to and serves a mostly under 35 crowd. Open from 2PM to 2AM every day and located at the corner of of Olive and Howell.
Staff was really nice. To my surprise the bar was empty on a Saturday night 8PM. Lots of comfortable sofas to sit and disco vibes. Cocktails were colorful and sweet. Good vibes there.

This bar was originally located in South Lake Union, I absolutely loved the space there. While it does have the same aesthetic, it’s a completely different space. It’s in the triangle bar in Capitol Hill that seems to constantly rotate to different concepts. In this incarnation I love having a lounge option in Capitol Hill. It took awhile to get drinks at the bar but when we did they were good and it was nice to have a couch space to hang out with a group of friends versus a bar top or tiny booth table. They serve Mexican food here!
