One of the best meals I’ve had in Seattle. Fully worth the hike to first fill

This is the worst place you can eat. I was sick so I ordered light soup. The soup came and when I poured it into a bowl to eat, I found pieces of left over fufuo in there. The soup honestly was so stale as though it was pre served. It was very obvious that they’d given me someone else’s left over because that’s the only circumstance that would cause there to be fufu pieces in my soup. Mind you I didn’t order any fufu. I called the store and they weren’t even shocked. The employees started giving me attitude and the manager some lady…was incredibly rude and simply didn’t care.

I committed vigorously at the thought of having bee given someone else’s leftovers. I would avoid this place. This is a health hazard. You can honestly catch Hep B or something else eating from here.

Save your health, money and peace of mind. The establishment was completely unapologetic

I got the suya chicken and jollof rice and it was delicious, the chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside and went well with the rice. The rice was also really good. I’m excited to try more food here!

Great food, one of the best in Seattle serving African cuisine. The staff is very knowledgeable and courteous. I will definitely be going back. The Egusi is awesome. The meat pie is also very prepared. We also liked the rice with cassava leaves

I really wanted to love this restaurant but the quality of the food was not great. The beef hand pies were very good. They were large and stuffed with delicious well-seasoned ground beef and came with a really good herby sauce. In fact, that would have probably been enough for a lunch. The chicken and jollof was seasoned well but the chicken was beyond dry and tough and the rice was crunchy and very dry as well. They tasted like they had been cooked a while ago and they just scraped the bottom of the pan and served it. Really disappointing. I hope this was just an anomaly.

Atmosphere was nice, service was good but the food could be much better. I’m excited it’s here as there are so few African restaurants in the city. They just need to make and serve freshly made food.

The suya short ribs was a little dry but flavorful. The jollof rice was spicy and the plantains were cooked perfectly.

The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was wonderful. I had the fufu with goat light soup and ordered the waakye with beef stew to go. I also got the sobolo drink, it was delicious, not too sweet, just the way I like it. If you have a big appetite like me, I recommend getting extra fufu as the portion was a bit small, though the waakye portion was fine. I’ll definitely be back someday.

If you’ve ever want and need a home-cooked African meal that tastes like it came straight from the heart of the continent, this is where you’ll find it. Quick, easy, ready, and delicious. I highly recommend!!

Hands down one of the best food we have had in Seattle!!! Highly highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I were visiting and stumbled upon this jam. We got the eggs for the appetizer, the Goat peanut soup and the Grill Branzino. It was a perfect meal.

The Goat peanut soup was rich, well-seasoned, the meat was so tender, gamy, and yummy. The branzino was executed perfectly with crispy fish skin and tender juicy inside. As someone who grew up having fish, the delicate green peppery sauce that compliments the fish won me over entirely.

The staff were so friendly and did not hesitant to share their enthusiasm for their food with us. The atmosphere were great as well. The spot definitely worth the hype!!!
