Excellent pastries made on site-good coffee too with beans from a
Local roasting company. Go early if you want a cinnamon roll before they run out. Awesome empanadas too. Lovely independent owner and great customer service.

9 years later and still loving this place and the kind family owners. Recent renovations and a new menu really make this place shine!

Small family bakery that has served the Central District for 13 years. They do serve a small breakfast and lunch menu. Horchata was good but I’ve had better. The pound cake was huge slice & tasted great. Alot of locals frequent the restaurant. The owners & the family their very nice.

Mango guava danish was delicious, as was the jalapeño and cheese tamale. Staff are friendly and welcoming. This place is a gem!

Great bakery with incredible service. The baked goods are really good, bagels are so soft. The horchata latte is amazing, it’s a must have.

This has been one of my favorite bakeries, I love their sourdough bread, and breakfast burritos. Overall selection of pastries and coffee are on point and the vibe is very homey.

I have been coming to this bakery / restaurant for years and for them to suddenly revoke their bread slicing services is terrible customer service. Good service shouldn’t be reserved for people who buy from the bakery before 2:30pm. This is a new policy and not a good one.

Golden Wheat is a quaint, charming little spot, perfect for a weekend breakfast with friends, a bulk order of baked goods to go, or a working weekday morning utilizing their free Wi-Fi. The staff is kind and friendly with the locals.

I started my breakfast with a pork and cheese pupusa, a horchata latte, and a biscotti cookie. I was a little disappointed to see my pupusa come out of a microwave, rather than off a hot griddle, but it was still tasty. The biscotti is perfectly soft and sweet dipped in the horchata latte, which itself is unique and balanced.

Later in the morning I tried the burrito Mexican and a chicken tamale. The tamale is good, but the burrito is excellent! It's rolled fresh with generous portions of delicious, spiced meat.

I also tried a host of baked goods. My favorites are the blueberry muffin and the coffee cake, both of which are soft and moist with a deep flavor. They remind me of a pan dulce — not too sweet but very satisfying.

Some other highlights for me are the ginger molasses cookie, which tastes like it's made with fresh ginger — yum! — and the pecan sticky bun, which is rich and delicious warmed up.

Really great baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, tamales, and great coffee from friendly people in a quiet little cafe with places to sit. AND they’re open early. And just like that I’m a regular. Try the croissant sandwich.

Outstanding bakery. You can't go wrong going here for a lunch or pastries. Prices are reasonable and vibe is neighborhood cafe.

From the moment you step inside, the warm, inviting aroma of freshly baked goods welcomes you like a cozy hug. Their breads are perfectly crafted, with a delightful balance of crusty exteriors and soft, flavorful interiors. The pastries? Absolutely divine—flaky, buttery, and with just the right touch of sweetness.

Angel, the owner and his staff, are always friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help you find your new favorite treat. Whether it's their signature sourdough, decadent croissants, or seasonal specialties, everything is homemade with love and care.

Golden Wheat Bakery is a go-to spot for baked goods. I can't recommend it enough!

Amazing bakery, owner honored my good 2 go order when it was placed during the holidays and it was closed.

Tasted really fresh and delicious, loved the muffin cake, ginger bread and other assorted sweet pastries.

We will be back!
