Great Notion Brewing - Ballard

I think I've had Great Notion beers a few times before, but this was my first time at one of their brewpubs. I was seated by an employee when I first arrived. I was meeting a bunch of people so they helped me pull some tables together.

I ended up having 5 of of their 5 oz pours. Each beer that I had ranged from good to excellent. It would be easy for me to recommend this venue.

10/10 every time. We love this place and keep coming back! Great beers, great staff, great vibes.

Have walked past a couple times and have been wanting to stop by. A friend suggested trivia here, so was excited to finally go. Great space, kind and knowledgeable service, consistently solid beers. Everything I tried was delicious. Monday trivia was fun. Will definitely be back.

I recently visited Great Notion in Ballard, and it quickly became one of my favorite spots! The selection of beers is incredible, and I highly recommend trying one of their flights if you want to sample a variety of their unique and delicious brews. Whether you're into hazy IPAs, sours, or something a bit more experimental, they have something to suit every taste.

One of the best things about Great Notion is the kid-friendly atmosphere. It's a great spot to bring the family and still enjoy a quality craft beer. The indoor/outdoor seating setup is perfect for any weather, making it a comfortable and inviting place to hang out, no matter the season.

The staff is fantastic—super friendly and knowledgeable. They’re always happy to offer recommendations and make sure you have an excellent experience from start to finish.

If you're in the Ballard area and looking for a spot that has fantastic beer, a welcoming environment, and a great space for both adults and kids, Great Notion is a must-visit! I don't live in Seattle, but I think I'll be moving just due to this place.

Great Notion took the cake of breweries in Seattle. Right in the heart of the Ballard brewery district, this spot is a must on your brewery adventure.

The theme is “modern” Paul Bunyan, which is impossible to describe, but makes total sense when there.

Both beers were immaculate, lager &
Pale ale, and the bartender was awesome. Did not have a chance to sample the food, but by the smell….top notch. One of the best breweries in the area which is saying a lot.

This place is great! Sometimes a bit busy but always great staff.

Fantastic staff with delish beers (I’m a sour gal) the Boo Berry Muffin sour is honestly amazing! If you are not a sour person (my husband) there are a couple very good options too :)

Every brewery in Ballard has it’s own forte and for here, it is fruit sour. Their fruit sour is an elevated form of fresh squeezed juice you get in a hotel bar for brunch! We tried mighty mango and oregon strawberry cheesecake and both were lip-smacking. Mango was very refreshing and strawberry cheesecake felt like biting a real strawberry with a lovely hint of vanilla! If I need a fruity beer to quench, definitely I’ll come here.

Great service. Friendly and attentive the minute you walk in. The beer I had was a fruited sour smoothie called Mellifluous. Tasted just like a breakfast smoothie. Food is offered. Street parking. Walking distance to many other breweries. Day drinking worthy.

Beer is obviously good…but the smashburger was heaven, my lord.

You’ll never want to drink another breweries beer after going to Great Notion. ??
