Great State is always a nice treat. Good burgers and fries. I tried their onion rings for the first time this visit and was impressed. Crispy and tasty, pairs well with the Great State sauce.This location is cozy, not a lot of seating but some is available right outdoors.If you’re looking for a solid burger place Great State delivers and they seem to be adding even more good options as time goes on.

Was at a jobsite 4 minutes away and needed a burger fix something fierce. Then i remembered Great State was around the corner. Ordered online and it was waiting for me on thr counter when i pulled in. Their smashburger is downright illegal, in the best way possible. Also as an avid Pepsi lover im usually upset at not having it on tap, however a Jones soda machine is a great substitute. Bring one to the eastside please! Drive in style would be amazing, maybe even drive in theatre!

The customer service was wonderful and the food was tasty! The man at the register was very helpful with my question about food allergies. The fries and drink portions were smaller than I expected, especially for the price. A double burger, fries, and soda ran about $20.

I was sightseeing along the pier area and saw the Great State Burger and decided to try it. The lady behind the counter was helpful and cheerful. There was a very short wait for my food and then I lit in. The cheeseburger had a really good flavor and the fries were just right. Having a sweet tooth, I relished my chocolate shake. Good place to eat and right on the pier area.

So, I'm reviewing this place at three stars based solely on the price. In my opinion it is significantly overpriced. Though the food is really good, the service is great, and has a quaint diner feel to it, from what it costs, to what you get in my opinions just a bit much. I get that they are doing all organic everything, that doesn't necessarily justify the price point.Just to be clear, the burgers are really good! And the people are very friendly, and they do have a Jones soda machine, so that definitely puts points in their corner!I definitely recommend giving this place a shot and deciding for yourself.
