My first time around the West Seattle area and saw this place on the top 10 list - I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into, However the staff was very kind and welcoming. Devyn has good energy and I really appreciated his patience with choosing my sides. After a hour of sitting, the chicken was still extremely crispy and the Mac and shredded cabbage was incredible. If I'm back in the area, I'll be sure to come by again!

Ordered using toast app, ETA 15 mins for pickup (during dinner, online order wait times can be 45+ mins for pickup - order in advance if possible). The food was still warm and crispy! All very delicious! As I picked up the food, even the guy at the register said “they hooked you up with the katsu” when adding napkins and utensils! I love this place cause it’s close to home, delicious food and generous portions!
Parking: Parking lot holds maybe a total of 8 cars, and it gets full fast. Came in during lunch and there were 3 spaces available, I was there for less than 5 mins and all spots were taken.

After watching a video on Terriyaki in Seattle, I was excited to try this place. What I liked about the chicken terriyaki was that the sauce wasn't too sweet and the cabbage slaw sauce wasn't as mayo-heavy like other places. I also got bok choy as my other side. My main problem with the chicken was that it was exceedingly dry and chewy (not in a pleasant QQ way but in a coarse, unforgiving way). And while I don't like my terriyaki saucy I did end up pouring on extra -- a first for me. My partner's spicy chicken was mildly better but there were some pieces that they found dry as well. Half of the bok choy was bitter (potentially too old?). I also tried the cucumber which I found a bit sour personally but not unacceptably sour.
Absolutely delicious! Grillbird is a gem. Ordering is super easy with their tablet system, and even though it’s self-serve, a staff member greeted me and offered assistance. She was incredibly kind, making the customer service a 10/10. The wait was quick, and the portion sizes were huge.
The POG lemonade is out of this world—so refreshing, with the perfect balance of tart and fruity. I’d go back just for that. The mac salad and spicy garlic chicken were also fantastic. While the sauce for the chicken katsu wasn’t my favorite, it was still good overall.
Parking was a breeze with their lot, but note there’s no indoor seating. Even with that, I’ll definitely be back!
