Ordered the Ohana meal with bam bam chicken, katsu chicken, and tofu with cauliflower. The katsu is ok - nice and crunchy. The other two dishes were absurdly sweet - reminded me of bad American style Chinese food - battered, fried and covered in sweet sauce. Cucumber salad and cabbage were fine(hard to mess up plain cabbage with mo dressing!), as were the spring rolls. The sauces given with the meal were way too sweet. Don’t understand why the Seattle Times gave this food such a good review.

Really fresh and delicious and a huge amount of food for the price! This place is an amazing addition to the neighborhood.

I’ve been going to the Grill Bird location in Seattle since I’ve moved here! But now that they are in my backyard I’m so happy! The food is always fresh and delicious and the people that work there are so friendly. Thanks for moving to Phinney Ridge!

First time at Grillbird...it was special :) We had the chicken and the beef (we wanted salmon but it was sold out). We loved them. And we also loved the sides especially the cucumbers. The serving size was too big for us so we will probably ordered one meal for two people...but that's a positive, we will have great leftovers tomorrow for lunch..

Ordering was super seamless and my order was ready within a few minutes ! I got exactly what I ordered. The person handing me my food was super sweet and asked about my day.

The food itself is really good! I tried the katsu chicken, tofu + cauliflower, golden beat salad, greens AND the salmon salad. The portions were huge and definitely worth the price !

Great Food - One of my go to spots…easy , fast and pleasant. I order the Greens for my sides (boc/choy). However, they seem to have an out of stock issue- the last few times I’ve visited. Which is a total bummer….

Happy to have such a good katsu restaurant in Phinney area. Everyone enjoyed the main dishes and especially the sides--yellow beet salad, macaroni salad, and pickled cucumber slices. Even our discerning seven year-old ate with gusto!
P.S. The spicy chicken will clear out your sinuses--not for the faint of heart.

This is a takeout joint with great food at fair prices. We tried the fried cauliflower with all the sauces. It was delicious. My kids tried the chicken teriyaki and really liked it.

I’m looking forward to going back again and trying their shrimp sandwich. It got reviewed by a local food Critic on Seattle Eats and got high marks, so we are definitely going back.

This was my second time going. The first time it was amazing ! But tonight the rice was not cooked right it was super mushy and it had a lot of hard pieces in between.. super disappointed...

Great and cost effective meals!
I never finish one plate and always have leftovers for the next day. Beef is really good and worth the extra. Sometimes their rices can be a little dry but their sides are good (IMO avoid cabbage, it is not seasoned).
