I stumbled upon Grounds on Aurora Ave in Seattle and WOW—I’m so glad I did! Their menu is insanely fun and creative! I ended up getting the Samoa cold foam iced latte and it was next-level delicious—like a Girl Scout cookie in a cup but still had that perfect coffee kick. 🥥🍫🔥
The staff was incredibly kind and easy to talk to—super welcoming and attentive, which made the experience even better.
If you’re looking for a place that puts real thought and personality into their drinks, Grounds is 100% worth the stop. Already looking forward to going back to try their chocolate teddy graham coffee and their dirty sodas! 😋
Drinks look very fun but lack any real substance or flavor, definitely fun to get once for the experience, but this is not a spot to go to on a regular basis. The menu is not clear in terms of pricing, which is very important for a unique drink stand such as this, since it’s going outside the customers normal purview of what things should cost. The barista helping me was nice, but passive aggressive when asked for pricing details (again not on their menu), which overall put a bad taste in my mouth. Seeing the other reviews made me feel a bit better to know Im not the only one who noticed the predatory pricing setup, but the responses from the owner to other reviews here is troubling. Folks have given very simple, actionable feedback regarding pricing, and each response has been a fully wound backhand to the reviewer. I’d recommend making drinks with no toppings for a day and using the savings to buy masking tape and a sharpie to fix the menu. They also claim to be family owned, and a small business just trying to make it, but they are opening a 6th location in the greater Seattle area, and it definitely feels like more of a chain, as opposed to a place where they know your name. At least Starbucks writes my name on the cups these days.
The ladies here are so sweet , my sister got me a drink for Mother’s Day and it was soooo good . If I could give more stars I would 🥰
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. Reasonably priced, feels like an experience, totally unique drinks.
A Wonderful Find on Aurora!
I was looking for a coffee shop nearby and luckily discovered ground coffee’s new location on Aurora. What a gem! The space is clean, inviting, and has a calm, welcoming vibe.
The two baristas working were exceptional—so kind, patient, and genuinely helpful. The one who took my order took the time to explain the menu and thoughtfully helped me choose the perfect drinks for both my son and me. I really appreciated the attention to detail and the friendly service.
Our drinks were absolutely delicious, and the entire experience left such a positive impression. I’m so glad I found this spot—it’s definitely my new favorite coffee stop in the area. Highly recommend checking them out!
Loved everything but the area. Fun inventive drinks with a speedy but also friendly staff.
First time visiting a Grounds Coffee Co. I am a big fan of anything s’mores flavored. I saw another reviews photo of a seasonal s’mores drink, not expecting to be able to order but I thought i’d ask.
The ladies were so friendly and quickly asked to see the photo I desired. Not only was it perfectly like the picture but so delicious!! Can’t wait to return. Thank you! 💗
I arrived at 7:57 PM, and the barista told me that the store closes at 7:30 PM. However, this is clearly inaccurate because I stop here almost every night on my way to work at the hospital, and Google Maps states that the closing time is 8:00 PM. Additionally, there was already a customer in the drive-thru when I arrived.
If you do not wish to serve Black women who approach on foot, just say so. Otherwise, please update the listed hours, as that is what I rely on.
ordered a small frappe like drink - it was over $9 and i think they forgot to put the coffee in it. only realized after i drove away but overall a little disappointed
Staff was friendly though
my friends and I enjoy this place but the pricing is high, there's often way to much ice in a drink, and the drive through is difficult with a big car. The wait is probably the most problematic factor with the average of like 15 minutes. The staff is usually pretty nice but you can tell it's a front due to the fact my friend ordered 2 sandwiches and the women working discretely tried to eye-roll but we saw it loud and clear 😭. The receipts i've received are also commonly messed up in some way. Although i'm kinda complaining a lot the food and drinks are real yummy and I understand working in customer service can be tricky.

Terrible experience. Showed worker pictures of the decorated seasonal “ghost” drinks we wanted. He was agreeable, but ultimately refused to make the pretty drinks without informing us. Nonchalantly handed us plain drinks— I felt so disrespected! Reached out to Grounds on Instagram and while they were initially apologetic and wanted to make the situation right, they ghosted me after I shared our name. hmm. Wish they ghosted our drinks and not us.
First time checking this place out, they have a complex menu with lots of options and I felt a bit rushed because I didn’t immediately know what I wanted and just overall an unfriendly vibe there. It was later in the evening and no other cars were in line during the whole interaction so I don’t really understand why. The drive thru is hard to see and is easily missed. The drinks themselves were good and I really enjoyed the candy it comes with, but the price was just too high for me. A fun one time treat but I don’t make the kind of money to regularly purchase $10 cups of coffee.
The ladies at the shop are super nice and were patient with me while I tried to figure out my order. The drinks were delicious and so much fun!
Nice people but the wait time was very long. The pricing is not transparent nor is it easy to understand. Felt the prices were really high especially for a plain cold brew. Also, there was an obnoxious amount of ice in my drink.
absolutely dank lil coffee stand. the staff is so kind, friendly, and patient if i don't always know what i want right away. i really, really enjoyed the blackberry pie iced latte, the flavors tasted incredible together! it's a little sweet for my personal taste, so i will ask for half sweet next time :) they are very efficient and the prices are really fair. i'm excited to try other items from their menu!
edit 10.29.24: their fall menu is fantastic. and as an openly queer person who uses they/them pronouns, i feel extremely safe and welcomed here. the staff are truly 10/10 :) i typically get my drinks half sweet, so if you don't like things too too sweet i recommend doing the same!
