This is a much smaller place than I was anticipating, with only 8-10 counter seats. They mostly do take out. The food is good, though the portions are a bit small.

A great meal that was delicious, but here are some pointers. The Area 206 curry is a very rich and like others have reviewed, the rice portion is not bigger enough, so I’m glad I ordered an extra portion of rice so in order to enjoy the curry. The fried chicken was great too, but because I ordered take out and the chicken was on top of the rice, by the time I had walked the 2 blocks back to my hotel, it was no longer crispy. The chicken should be put in a separate none plastic container. The staff were exceptionally kind and the seating was very authentic, but minimal…only 3 hi top tables and a counter top area down the side of the kitchen. Not that it will affect most, be aware too that they take cash, but don’t give change. I would definitely go again when back in town, as I would now love to try the Ramen with the Area 206 curry.

Fun and cozy restaurant interior. Food was delicious and everything tasted homemade. Slightly higher pricing but worth every penny. Creamy salmon and tuna in the poke. The curry tasted like one I had in Okinawa.

Their food taste good but there’s MSG in it. My body is very sensitive to MSG and salt so it felt good in the moment but bad till tbh e next day.

Gyo Gyo En is awesome! The food came out so fast, the atmosphere is very inviting, staff is nice, food is fire (especially the salmon poke with Rayu sauce).🔥 It’s easy to miss this place walking by it but I would not. Shoutout to Fabi for their exceptional service and recommendations!

Personally my favorite poke place by far. The sauce they use is good without being overpowering. Additionally, the fish has been consistently fresh and not “fishy.” I usually order the half pound of poke with a side of rice since I like to just enjoy the essentials. With the fish and rice both being so fresh, this is my favorite way to enjoy it.

There’s really no seating since the shop is so small so takeout is probably better.

Ordering is with an app. Which can be frustrating since you can’t inquire with questions about the food. The food was below average. The atmosphere was hot with no decent seating options. The music was terrible. I wanted to start the evening off with a sake, but had to pay 1st. Where is the trust?

I’ve passed by this place so many times but never noticed it because of how small of a storefront it is.

The interior has a limited space, but they have a decent amount of options on the menu. It is a little pricey, but I got the Salmon bara chirashi bowl, Which came in a decent portion of salmon, roe, and one large shrimp. The ingredients are fresh.

I also recommend their sashimi, we got the tuna sashimi, and it has a really strong sesame oil flavor to it, which is amazing. I will definitely get sashimi in the future.
