Spencer, our server took the evening from a dinner to an experience. Great wait staff can make or break a meal & he was superb. The food as always was exceptional. I think Haerfest is Seattle's best kept secret. SO good. Not a missed dish in the line up. I dream of their carrots and brussel sprouts all the time. Will be back.
We came for the Valentine's Day tasting menu and were underwhelmed. The appetizers were good, especially the brussel sprouts, however the second and especially the third main course was disappointing. The second course was 2 pasta dishes, the kale mushroom pasta had good flavour, but we got one piece of kale and mushroom. The truffle pasta did not have a truffle taste at all. For the main course we ordered a fish filet and the American wagyu. For the fish, the texture felt like it was frozen, and had a very fishy taste. The surround elements such as the squash puree were very good though. We were not asked how we would like the steak cooked, and it came out very rare. Both these dishes came lukewarm, and quickly went cold. On the website one dessert option was the red velvet cheese cake, but when we arrived it seemed to have changed to a flourless chocolate cake which was a bit dry. The service was very nice and the restaurant had great ambiance, but for the $100 pp and the 22% mandatory gratuity, you can get much better food elsewhere.
The cocktails, pear salad, bolognese, and pork shoulder were all exceptional, but it was the attentive staff that made our night extra special.
Absolutely wonderful meal and hosts. Customer service is personal and the best ive had in a restaurant in a long time. Food was classic pnw superb.
Very nice time with the chef's menu! Everything was delicious. Loved the winter salads and black cod. Reminded me I need to come eat especially pasta here more often.
We went for an early dinner on New Years Eve, which included a preset menu with several options to choose from. The starters were creative and tasty and the beef was excellent. Overall a great experience. Would highly recommend.
We so enjoyed our dining experience at Haerfest. We got sat at the chefs table by chance and felt like we lucked out getting to see all of the food being prepared!
Staff are very attentive; we had a couple hiccups (ordering process, broken wine glass), but the staff were very gracious and the happy hour was a great deal! We will definitely will return in the future!
David and our bartender really took care of us and we loved the meal from beginning to end. Thank you, we'll definitely be back!
Haerfest delivered an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was fresh, thoughtful, and deeply comforting, with portions that were generous and perfect for sharing. We sat at the counter and had the pleasure of watching the kitchen in action—the cooks were professional, well‑orchestrated, and clearly took pride in their craft. The space was spotless and had a warm, friendly energy. The pork shoulder was a standout, but truly every dish we tried was excellent. The wine list was approachable, varied, and refreshingly affordable. Even when the kitchen had a small mishap with one of our dishes, they more than made up for it with graciousness and care. Service was another highlight. It genuinely felt like the entire staff was looking out for us—not just one server—which made the evening feel seamless and welcoming. The atmosphere had a cool, relaxed vibe, and we could actually enjoy a conversation without shouting over other tables. Overall, Haerfest is a gem. Excellent food, attentive service, and a comfortable, inviting atmosphere make it a place I'd happily recommend for any night of the week.

Unfortunately, our first time to eat at Haerfest was not a good experience, especially compared to other outings at this groups sister restaurants. The food was great but the service was subpar.
I love this restaurant. The food is always excellent and abundant. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We enjoyed some small bites here on a recent Sunday evening after a movie and enjoyed everything about it. It was pretty empty though at 9 pm. They let us order off the happy hour menu because of the later time and we had the charred carrots, chicory salad and a skewer with black cod. All nicely prepared and that was all we needed plus excellent cocktails, of course. I hope they find their audience, I think that the name might throw people off. I never would have guessed based on that that they feature house-made pasta!
Stumbled on this restaurant last year after initial plans fell through and we are so glad we did! I was just thinking about this meal again - a year later! - and had to write a review. We sat at the kitchen where we could watch food being prepped and sent out and really enjoyed that experience. We loved both our pasta dishes (Italian sausage and crab). When the appetizer we ordered wasn't available, they subbed in a dish off the menu that was DELICIOUS and they refused to charge us for it, which was too kind. Service was wonderful, food and drinks were great, loved the interior.
